It's not the greatest what with Gigabit speed and all being available to many.. but not bad at all. Just learned something too. The closer you are to the router/modem, the FASTER it gets. LOL. Right now I am sitting right next to the router. I'm not sure plugging into the Ethernet outlet would be any faster... lol (224 Mb/s ain't bad... not bad at all)

36.2 MB/s here at GOG... that's faster than I used to get at Steam... WOW... I'm going to sit right next to the router from now on LOL!!

Wait this is wireless speed? You can get much more if you plug in, why don't you try it when downloading?

I don't have a cable handy at the moment (it's in this mess somewhere but I'm still not moving around well enough to dig through it and look for it. LOL) but I'm not sure it would be faster... my ISP speed is sold as 200Mb/s... and I'm getting over that wireless (sitting right next to it though) and I'm just not sure it would be faster.

My basement and everything in it was lost in a flood last summer and I've got a lot of stuff down here now still in boxes to replace it and an Ethernet cable is one of them but as I said won't really be able to do a lot of looking until I can move a little better lol.

I don't think they'll pick me to do that as I already have over 1200 games here... they know they already have me as a reliable customer.

I'm getting 0.1 m/s here and around 100 kbps on Steam but I did hit my tethering limit a while back.

Pffft, that's nothing. My internet is so slow that sometimes the files start going backwards, back to GOG's servers! I start getting something like -1 MB/s speeds and such.

That reminds me that last week my ISP/telecom operator called me, trying to get me to upgrade my subscription to a 200Mbit/s line. Apparently the highest option here is now 1Gbit/s.

I was very tempted to get the 200Mbit/s upgrade. but I was busy at the moment and we agreed he calls later that week. He never did.

Be warned that there are some con men who pretend to call on their behalf. Sadly I have experience :-( It is better that you call them or just do it via their website. You need to login.
