That's right folk, Nordstrom's, an american yuppie retailer, is selling a rock in a leather bag for 85 USD. Better yet? It's sold out!

The reviews are pretty funny though.

I told my brother I was getting him this, and he said, "If you did, I'd punch you in the face. I'd rather you burn the money in front of me".

Reminds me of that time the Cards Against Humanity people literally sold boxes of poop.

i heard about that!
At least he didn't threaten to hit you with the rock.

It's expensive, wouldn't want to risk damaging it ;)

They charge a few dollars more for their rocks.
Hey, it's almost Christmas. "Charlie Brown trolling" for the losers in your life! Provided, of course, that you can waste 85 bucks on a rock. But if you can, you're probably too insulated to realize you could walk outside and get one for free. A fool and his money...
You are all making it sound like it's a lot of money.

Quite a few people have everything and at that point you just want to demonstrate to them that you remember and care. This month my family has been asking me what I want for Christmas, but I honestly can't think of anything. If they got me some rocks like these, though, I'd appreciate it just as much as some other meaningless stuff.

And yea, there is no difference between a peace of granite and a diamond. Diamonds aren't rare or precious or useful (except for some technical uses) or even pretty when compared to other minerals. The whole industry is basically a successful example of trolling.

Heard about this on the news. Idiots with money to waste *shakes head*. You can buy much better things with that money (like video games, books, food, clothes, charitable donation, hell if you're going to spend 85 bucks on a rock, it should at least be wearable as jewelry).

Take rock, throw through window, reach through new opening in window, steal stuff from Nordstrom's display.

The thing pays for itself, and then some.
85 for a rock with a pouch, God damn I want to see the numbers on how much that dude sold by the end of the year.
