I did see that news story, which I did find quite amusing given the ethnic background of the guy they turned off.

That being said, I still put more trust in an American corporation than I would in e.g. a Chinese one (and by definition also the CCP). Ultimately, I think that the sensible people in the population will hold the current excesses to account. I'd also point out that in the Amazon case, it was (patently false) allegations of inappropriate language towards an employee rather than general activity, but I do understand where you're coming from.

If only someone invented some kind of an engine that let you search the internet to come up with a different news source if you didn't like the one that someone else quoted. Perhaps if they did, they should name it after a very large number to signify the multitude of different sites that it could search.

Horizon Zero Dawn. If you look into it, it makes a kernel32 call to an API for DPI information that doesn't exist in prior versions of windows.

Yeah too bad. And too bad we theres only 4 channels open access via UHF receiver on my 12 inch CRT TV, with a dial i have to set to channel three... And the only other news source and entertainment is the radio playing reruns of the Beatles.

But hey, did you hear about this new fangled thing called America Online? Get this, you get a free disk where you can connect to them for like 20 hours for free (just pay long distance charges), and you put this thing called a modem in your computer, and it dials up and uses your phone line. Then when you get logged in, this guy's voice pops on and says 'You've Got Mail!'...

Ah, I misread the post. I thought it was about a game that would run on Windows 7 but not on Windows 11.

Thanks for all the help but I've found out the problem: I simply copied over the games from one PC to the other and then loaded up Steam which found all my old games. They were all fine apart from DOSBOX ones. Then I found out why: everything was there in the 'target' boxes within the 'properties' apart from the extra instructions required to run the DOS games (such as " -conf "..\dosbox waxworks.conf" -conf "..\dosboxwaxworks_single.conf" -noconsole -c "exit"), for some reason (my own fault I guess) they never copied over.

Still, I've now managed to get the vast majority of these excellent old games running!

Usually you get more useful help, if you write something different than "doesn't work".
In this case something like "dosbox opens, but the game does not start", would probably have resulted in the correct solution :)

ps: The link within the game directory contains the correct launch options which you need.
