Does anyone know of a program or application that can add a line of text to the bottom or top of a photo. Preferably more then one at a time.

I have just started a new job running a car lot and the lot is a branch of a bigger lot and I would like to add the location and phone number on the bottom of all the photos that I am adding to the website so when people see the photos they know where it is located and the number to call.

Thank you in advanced!!!!

(I do have photoshop and can add it one by one but I am looking for something to save a bit of time and do more then one at a time)

You can do it in photoshop with batch processing (File > Automate > Batch) and actions (Window > Actions). You can probably find a decent tutorial for your particular version of photoshop with a quick web search.

Are you familiar with actions and batch processing in Photoshop? Actions let you record things, so you could record however you add the information and batch process (file -> automate -> batch in Windows, probably something similar on Mac) a whole folder of pictures so that they all have the same information in the same place.

EDIT: Ninja'd by a goomba. What is this world coming to?

Search for easy batch watermark.
There is a tiny program available which adds water mark to multiple images at once.
Just select images and enter text.
I cant remember its name but I will send you link in a moment.
You may use photoshop but why to use bazoka when you need a niddle?

I think you are referring to IrfanView.

With IrfanView some things are easier and faster to handle than with those big programmes like PhotoShop.

imagemagick was always targeted to admn-centric batchy operations on images.

http://www.xoogu.com/2013/how-to-automatically-watermark-or-batch-watermark-photos-using-imagemagick/

if IrfanView doesn't work out, probably you can do what you're trying to with a windows build of imagemagick
Another one is XnView.
Easy to add text as well as watermark.

Another option is to write a program to add the watermark yourself, and then run it on all the files you want to perform the operation.

With Python, for example, you can use the Pillow module to do this sort of thing. Other programming languages likely have similar libraries.

Thank you everyone that replied. I have not had a chance to read them all and go over the programs yet but I will as soon as I can and I will also mark this answered too.

Thank you again.
I'm aware PaintShopPro X can do it, although you'd generate a script (adding the watermark) and then batch using the script... Although if they are wildly different resolutions i'm not sure how well it would do...
You can also use FastStone Image Viewer [fsviewer] located HERE (it's free)

A guide for watermarking is located HERE
I loved this one very much until I got to the very end and had my watermark and everything all figured out. DEMO only and will show demo on my photos. Buy it to remove it.

=( I do not mind buying something a bit down the line after things pick up at my new job but for now free is the way to go.

My next try out is seeing how to do the watermark in photoshop.
