...really, this shocking! Superhero Me, which is the latest addition to GOGs "movie" catalog, was released on April 17th...
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/movie_release_superhero_me_5b935
Three months, a quarter of a year, over ninty days have passed since the last addition---and no sign whatsoever that "real" (sorry about telling you the inconvenient truth...) movies are folding in!

I´m disappointed, although I really don´t know where I should point...

But they have the gamers movies, those alone are worth it. :P
Without any support from major studios (or really any significant minor ones), GOG probably can't get that many movies or get what they can all that often.

That´s true, but they´ve been already on here for quite some time---and obviously (one of) the highlights!

That is a pretty nifty movie.

So you want to back stab him with a ballista?
Best line ever lol. Makes me laugh whenever I hear it.

"OMG He did it"
So chessy and low budget and is still one of my favorite movies to go back and watch. I actually just redownloaded it.

I would be very surprised if they were selling any meaningful quantities. Ideas that GOG would sign on major studios like 20th Century Fox or Universal were wishful thinking at best, and the films that GOG sell are simply not in demand. Most are fine for ad-revenue funded YouTube fodder, but not full-priced movies.

I'm still hoping for a GOGacle for films. They do it from time to time for games so now I hope for say the original three Star Wars films here. :)

In my eyes they should go for non-english indie movies. There are a lot of interesting ones, many of them have english subtitles (because they were shown on festivals and I bet it is a lot easier to get worldwide distribution rights for them.

Personally I'm not really interested in Hollywood Blockbuster movies, but I would certainly buy a lot of movies from Asia, South America or Europe (and also indie movies from North America).

Even that would be a step up on what GOG has been distributing here to date. Honestly, the quality of most of the stuff here is dreadful. Indie movies are all well and good, but they too seek distributors who limit the channels through which the movies can be distributed. A DVD release will generally preclude a DRM-free VOD release.

As I recall, the issue was that some customers objected to movies being made available (at sale time) only to specific regions.

This would have allowed for incremental improvements where, region-limited content would remain, but the content would be DRM-free after sale.

Now, instead of a partial improvement, we got nothing, because some people can't compromise even if it's just to allow DRM-free momentum to get its foot in the door.

More like.. no real movies release after many months. :(
