These guys saying we can never see EU IV , CKII or other newer games on GOG :S Is that true ?

This question / problem has been solved by Grargarimage
this some bool sheet
Never is a pretty final word, but Paradox has been pretty clear that EU4 and CK2 and future games developed by Paradox will be Steam only.

It really isn't too surprising. They claim it is for the efficiency of maintaining a single build. I bet it's already complicated enough maintaining three different platforms for the base game + 7-billion DLC for each game, without introducing another storefront.

Aren't they basically all the same anyway? ;)

did they say this before they brought their older titles here?
Good bye Cities: Skylines?
Kind of a Catch-22 situation, IMO. They won't release a non-Steam version of future games because the market's not big enough. But they can't build up a DRM-free market unless they release their games DRM-free (or non-Steam shackled, if you will) and give it time.

No, of course it's not. We just got two Paradox games the previous week.

Having said that, don't expect Europa Universalis IV or Crusader Kings II before they are done with the DLCs and patching. Crusader Kings II was originally available in a non-Steam form, but Paradox didn't want to bother supporting two versions anymore and switched to supporting only the Steam one.

Before. I remember this kicking about as a reason why Paradox wouldn't release here.. but they did eventually so who knows.

As Grargar said though I wouldn't expect CK II or EU IV until they stop releasing DLC for them (or when the next iteration is released, whichever comes first)

GR00T: and give it time.
hits + several times

Well, it wont take as long now... just hope I dont miss any important events...
So what's the problem, just don't buy those games until they come here, play something else. The problem is that people wont do that hence, publishers can do what they like.

adaliabooks: until they stop releasing DLC for them
Oh boy oh oh boy oh boy I really CAN'T WAIT for them to stop spewing out DLCs for those two games. I'm kinda fed up buying them.

Then I guess you should be looking forward to them announcing Crusader Kings 3/Europa Universalis 5, which is the point where they will stop releasing their DLC packs for CK2/EU4, only to begin anew with CK3/EU5.

So what happened to those who bought the non-Steam version of the game?
As long as they bring whatever they make with the World of Darkness IP here, I will be happy. Let's see if they'll also manage to get the Netflix series they want.
