The upgrades are great and all, but not the nerfs, it sucks getting used to playing a game a certain way, only to have it upended by a bunch of nerfs post launch; hell, you can't even escape hazards by building/burrowing with the terrain manipulator anymore!
That said, I'll be overjoyed to give this mech a go!
You had me scared for a few minutes, I just had to try after this... and burrowing still works for me. Surface temp 50.0C, about 3 meters underground 6.0C and message "Temperature stabilizing". It doesn't work on lifeless worlds. Can't say if it ever did, I avoid those unless absolutely necessary.
Exocraft protection nerf sucks, but it only costs 4x120 nanites and some resources to get it back.
Edit: And 4 slots, sorry. I usually ignore exocraft inventory, freighter / suit / ship are much more accessible.
