Yea, zoom platform is better too with a more straight forward installer that has no ads while installing and original game icons games came with.

Given GOG's failure to address this issue, I have left my review on the game's store page and I would encourage others who do not like to see DRM-ed games on GOG to do the same. The least we can do is to alert potential buyers to the fact that the game contains DRM and is therefore defective.

I know, Corona, home office and more are sitting heavy on your shoulders, but we have to talk about No Man's Sky's recent updates. The game is clearly advertised by you by the term "DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play. " Now, this was true for NMS for quite a while, but as several customers pointed out in the forum (https://www.gog.com/forum/no_mans_sky/company_unwated), with the recent updates more and more elements of the game (quests, ships, items) are locked for players, even in single player mode, if not being online. This however violates in my opinion your GTC regarding the "no online connection required", which is still shown to new customers at the store page as a statement for the complete game, and not only for parts.
As we, your customers, have a contract with you when buying a game with given guarantees like those terms above, and publishers are in contract with you to providing software (games) according to your terms, I see it in your obligation to find the dialog with Hello Games to resolve this issue for those of your costumers which do not want to play the game online in single player mode.

Apologies for the late reply.

As mentioned on the game page, some online components introduced in updates require Internet connection. Other than that the game is playable in offline mode.

So GOG doesn't seem to see the issue and I don't seem to buy here anymore. I guess parting ways is a solution if it doesn't work out anymore.

I find that response to be completely inadequate.

Out of interest does this require an always on internet connection to access this content or is it unlocked after phoning home once?

It's an answer from 24th of September 2020, it's not like it's any new, if anything the post from the Gog mods is much newer than that.

This has been conflicting, I have read some people saying a one time online connection will unlock, others have said you always need to be online.

Modders have created a few mods though that allow access to the items without needing to go online though

Check the above thread, some have also said a slight edit to your save file can also unlock the stuff.

As for No Man's Sky, I don't understand why they can't or won't allow offline players to obtain all of the same items without us having to edit our saves. I'd rather not have to edit mine because it would feel like cheating. Hello Games is aware of the save editor, right? If the edit is as simple as I've heard, it doesn't make sense for Hello Games to not do what we want. It can't take more than a minute to make the change for the next update, can it?

I've tried politely asking to make the changes, but obviously nothing has happened yet. Going to wait a little longer before I think about changing it. It's a little disappointing that we'd have to do it to get those things.
