I would like to thank for a refund, which was done for me by Cypers with patience and kindness,
and I know I am using my right half of a brain much more often than a left one,
and it was a good experience, can`t blame gog

My left half of a brain is suggesting me though that I should never ever accept a single drm game here as it will make this store out of order.

Idea of helping other stores to sell drm games trough galaxy is somehow controversial sign of mutual global understanding, BUT

1. I am sure that this very store, as a World`s best/biggest Drm-free store will help me to collect games freely and that is its identity. (drm-free games, good open forum of intelligent people, chat, history, long time users with passion, ideology of caring for people and games)

2. Where Galaxy already have different identity, everything goes in it, everything is exciting too.
(all games, app (for all platforms pls*, bring android in), chat, freshness, worldwide users of all shapes, ideology of connecting in global gamers society)

Whytf bend too much any of this when we can have any on demand? (optional client is the key)

We should not forget that world is already changed and drm-free is stronger than ever
this very subject proves it to me
and I am sure that any strange mechanisms found in games, will be spotted and described by players again
or their friends ^

I understand that you have refunded NMS. If I may ask, when did you buy it?

Thank you, sure, bought it on 2nd October,

and if relevant... tested until 5 days ago,
asked for a refund but I sent a technical ticket instead of refund ticket,
been treated more seriously than I treating myself, they tried to help me with drivers and everything,
it was Sunday and on a same day I sent a refund ticket (worth reading this) and let me check on email...
11 Oct 06:37am refund ticket to 12 Oct 08:50am funds back
26 hours and 13 minutes 4.7/5 from me

Gersen: It's not linked to "offline" or "online" it just means that your drivers are not compatible with Vulcan. Did you try to update them ? normally, unless you are using some old integrated graphic chip, newer drivers should be compatible with Vulcan.
all other games works, got two graphic cards on windows 10, my drivers are younger than a game, dxdiag report already with gog support, my claim was not baseless as I could have been refunded on technical grounds back to my debit card, but I chose gog`s wallet and games already,

I have other places to go, but still love you ♢

Lifthrasil: GOG could remove that requirement even without the developers help, but they won't do it either. Which means they are OK with selling a DRM-ed game.
Yes and no. For certain games GOG is not allowed to do anything without approval from the dev/publishers. I experienced such situations a few times when I contacted support about some tech related questions. can't say if this is the case with NMD as well though.

Kyousuke.: Nah, the snake oil tactic wasn't on you, I wes referring to denuvo/irdeto and the shenanigans they started with the drm crusade, even after pc gaming take it's flight without their need.

You were kinda lucky btw with your games, my friend has been permanently locked by one of his game, while for another one he was stuck for over 6 months.

Anyway my apologies for going OT.
This is exactly why we can never compromise and we must never accept any form of DRM. It takes away our basic rights as consumers. We need to stand firm and insist that GOG pushes to have the DRM removed from No Man's Sky ASAP.

Bump for the wishlist request:

https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/remove_no_mans_sky_unless_the_drm_is_removed

I am keeping an eye on it. If it gets to the point where it has more votes than the request to add NMS in the first place, I will contact GOG and alert them to that.

first, i dont speak english. i have waste 2 hours of my life writting this.

Why have i waste... because maybe to post in this topc is like to write a message on the sand of the sea. This post is for any "radical under my POV" people that is posting here.

Ok, GOG born long time ago promising drm free. Then, there havent "actual Steam", Epic, etc. There havent massive online playing, fornite, csgo, etc. They rivals were basicaly retail games and gamespy that was a joke vs Steam, Epic...

I dont know personaly anyone to buy games in GOG. I know a lot of people that post in my country forums who usually buy GOG games using vnp and paying 18$ more or less instead of 40$ - real price. I always pay in € , so I dont use vnp.

GOG have been trying dont dead making galaxy, connect, gifting games, etc. But GOG almost havent got to make new clients, i think he will make less clients in the future, because, people who is starting to play videogames (now and tomorrow) want to play new games, dont care about drm free and dont know what it means. GOG usually dont get release many games (specially AAA) the same day that Steam and you can get steam games much cheaper because you can buy them in many other places.

Conclusion: i know and you know GOG maybe go to die more soon than later . But, you dont make anything to help GOG if he dies being 100% DRM free.

Omg, NMS is a infinite game and is at least 99.99999999% drm free and 0.00000001% "exclusive steam content"

Bye and, please, dont reply to my post because i cant waste my time writing in english. Thanks.

P.D. I obviously wont buy more games in GOG if NMS ( i brought it in 2017) is pulled from the store and my game dont receive more updates. You can fight for your principles but withouth fuc innocent people.

Most offline players don't want to fuc online players. That's why we're offline players ;)

Although NMS does seem to want to partially fuc offline players, we're hoping this is just temporary.
For what it's worth I blocked it from access to the net and i was able to use all features of the game... the "quicksilver" shop is cosmetic mods and nothing more so that doesn't count.

All enhancements and buy-able boosters worked, I spent an hour testing, Its fully DRM free and needs no net connection to fully function.... except for cosmetic modifications.

edit: i should add all quicksilver missions work without issue as well.

That's good to hear.

A couple of questions:
1) Have you never been online in this game in the past (i.e. before today)?
2) Which version of the game are you playing?

Thats a good point and I realized that after posting... so I reinstalled quickly and blocked it and launched it from NMS.exe I'm using the latest available from GOG.com

Only differences I could find was on the anomaly, i could see Quicksilver items but could not do any missions for quick silver. I could do all missions available even the glitched multiplayer only that required upload by only renaming it and scanning resources... so far I cant do quicksilver missions or buy quicksilver but everything else was still open to me, all new content still existed except quicksilver which makes sense as that is multiplayer only... SO... They remove the vendor if there is no internet connection then that would solve the problem for those that are angry over it.

Then again the Nexus hub is a multiplayer area, its like being angry then a game has multiplayer only content... which NMS does, there are a TON of games on GOG that have multiplayer only content.

IMGUR Shots

Now Quicksilver is cosmetic only and provides no boost or bonus to the game, there is no reason to use Quicksilver or a need to use any items from the shop to complete any part of the game. So I honestly don't see the issue. The game can be downloaded at latest patch, installed and played without any interruption to any quest or story line in the entire game start to finish. It never asks to be connected or requires you to complete a single quest in the game, from any station or even (with my testing) in the Nexus which houses core NPC's for the games main quest and 2 NPC's focused on Multiplayer only quests which work for single players if they want.

Here is toxicTom's post from two weeks ago that explains why he changed his mind from originally thinking, like you, that it was only multiplayer content to now thinking that it is singleplayer content:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/no_mans_sky_isnt_fully_drmfree/post249

I cannot comment on it myself as I don't have the game.

So, for what i understand, the ship is on SP mode, but is ultra rare to get?

I wouldn't count the Void Egg and the attached string of missions (which are SP) "cosmetic only".
I mean, if HG intended this content to be MP reward, they should have said so (although it would be a weird and IMO bad decision), but they didn't mention anything like this when they announced the Living Ship update.

Also it isn't true that the Nexus and the two characters are MP only - they also provide you with waypoints to the next black hole or Atlas anomaly, which is part of the SP quest.

As far as I understand it, if you never go online, the quicksilver shop contains only a few items to buy, and the Void Egg is not among them, so you cannot get the Living Ship at all. If you go online once, do nothing, and resume playing fully offline, the quicksilver shop now has lots more to buy, including the Void Egg. At this point, you can theoretically get everything on SP mode, except that quicksilver is very rare.

The issue therefore is that unlocking the shop requires you to go online once.
