"No Man's Sky was a mistake".

Their Twitter has now been made private, they were saying they got hacked, then changed it to "No Man's Sky' Twitter hacked by a disgruntled developer"

Polygon states that they got the reply that "“The tweet is from me, but somebody from the team took it down,” an email to Polygon from Murray’s account reads. “We have not been coping well.”".

Wouldn't surprise me if SM (or another member of staff) lost the plot somewhat over the mess that NMS has turned out to be.

With a meagre 458 players online, that's really bad for such a new game.

Who needs soap opera's when you can just sit back & watch the HG/NMS story unfold ;)

Well Sean Murry is an employee of Hello games right? He might be disgruntled...

This is whole thing is just sad. Very, very, sad.
high rated
NMS is the 'poster boy' for not pre-ordering.
because Sony has announced another game that has "gone GOLD" :P
Still no 'Sean Murray is gonna make you his bitch!' mème...,

I'm dissappointed.
I have forgotten about this game until you brought it up.

I thought that trophy was already won by "Spore" 8 years ago.

NMS is a piece of gaming history. When parents tell their kids to not pre-order, they'll use the name of NMS to scare them.

I suppose so and perhaps even Daikatana before that.
But NMS is more current and as such probably the better 'poster boy' for it.
Or 'poster person' these days.

Up until release Spore had videos and presentations showing features that weren't in the final game. (I'm not even talking about the %*§& DRM it had at release.) I go with Spore.
And gamers learned nothing.

Many people out there act like nothing like this has happened before.

Spore was by Maxis, a big company with backing by EA.
Of course it makes much more sense to go after a small team like Hello Games now with the help of the mighty internet. It's a much easier victim.

And even if the bloodlust gets satiated and Hello Games goes under because of NMS, gamers will still have learned nothing.
And it will happen again.
And people will react like something like that has never happened before.

Was it OK, what Hello Games did? No.
But treating them like something like that has never happened before and they are a unique culprit that will be an example for gamers to come... That seems exaggerated to me.

Was all that directed at me?
Because AFAIK a 'poster boy' isn't the first or only example of something, just the epitome of something.
And I think in the gaming world Spore is probably a bit too old to still be the epitome of it.

I thought Arkham Knight was only a terrible PC port and the console versions were fine?

Not seen nor heard anything about any patches on any other forums, so no idea.
