It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm trying to redeem my game code for Tides of Numenera (I only want the patches, I have a backer box/disc) but there is no Cpatcha code showing on the redeem page. I've attached an image.

I don't know if anyone here can help with this. I've contacted gog support but my recent experience re. "failed download" indicates they are pretty useless. The first response to this Captcha problem is the usual "clear browser cache" etc.

The GoG website recommends using Firefox or Chrome; I use Firefox (latest version). I have 1 plugin (OpenH264 video codec) and 2 extensions (Ad-Block and Google Analytics opt-out). I have disabled all but it makes no difference. I use Firefox privacy mode by default. I added gog.com and the /redeem url to my Avast anti-virus software. Java (if that could have anything to do with it) is now installed and up-to-date.

Any help appreciated :)

Hmmm, same thing happens for me with uMatrix but whitelisting the page fixes it.
Easiest way to check it would be using another browser without any extensions.

Or the same browser with a clean profile, although I dunno how to do it on Windows (on Linux you just have to delete or rename the .mozilla directory on your $HOME).

Well it was the easiest way I could think of anyway.
I suppose renaming a folder in the AppData would probably do it as well, I just don't know which one.

Just got curious and looked up how to do it properly :P

In windows it can be done in multiple ways.
Easiest one is: Press Win + R and put firefox.exe -P in it.
Press enter and done.
It will open Firefox Profile Manager

Thanks, I'll try that next for Firefox. Meanwhile I tried Opera and it works perfectly (except that neither code is recognised by GoG!) I've been using Firefox for many years now and the GoG site is the only place I encounter difficulties.
Firefox privacy mode works for you? That's nice to hear. I've noticed gog.com doesn't work with Safari's privacy mode. In particular, no Account menu so no means of login, the lists on the bottom half of the main page don't show, game pages have no reviews and perhaps no text description, and so on. Because of that, it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out Firefox's privacy mode is getting in the way somehow, even if not as much.

Good luck in being able to continue using Firefox's privacy mode, I hope the captcha works out and that it's not the privacy mode interfering.

You might've done this already, but just in case you didn't - try restarting Firefox after disabling add-ons.

Some add-ons requires restart to be disabled/enabled/installed.

Same happens with Firefox Safe Mode. Which I'd expect to work like normal vanilla Firefox with a fresh profile, but for some reason doesn't.

It could be that something in your Firefox profile got corrupted, and GOG's site is a lot more pickier than other sites.
You could try to restore a version of your profile from before you noticed issues on GOG, if you keep backups of it.

I get this too, but that's because I use uMatrix to block external references. I'd suspect your adblock extension is blocking captcha, but since you say you've disabled all your extensions and still have no captcha then it must be something else (unless those extensions require a restart to disable and you didn't restart, of course).

My first thought is that maybe you have Firefox's built-in tracking protection active and could be interfering. When you're on the redeem page, try clicking on the green padlock icon to the left of the URL. That should show you if Tracking Protection is blocking anything and allow you to disable Tracking Protection if it is. Maybe that will help.
I'd restart Firefox in Safe mode. That reverts it to the default temporarily with no Addons or plugins.
The captcha depends on content from google.com and gstatic.com. If any extension blocks third party content on gog.com you'll have to add exceptions for these two domains.

Btw, are you sure you claimed the GOG key on the Torment web site instead of the Steam key.
Just in case you took a Steam key to get early access on Steam before release on 28th February, there's an option to change this key into a GOG redeem code on the backers reward page (see link above).

Maybe I didn't restart Firefox after disabling the extensions, can't remember now and I was in a rush. Opera works though and I kinda like it so I'll stick with that for now. It was nice that all the security/privacy things I would normally disable or enable straight away were disabled or enabled by default.

Thanks for the heads-up about the Tides game keys. I didn't redeem any keys from the inxile site, I just tried the ones that came in the box. I'll take a look at my account for the game and see if there's a code there I can try. I've contacted inxile support though and if anything comes to light that might help others I'll post it here. It might just be that I need to use the code I get from their website instead of what came in the box.
Yup, I was using the wrong keys. The keys in the boxed edition are for Steam. The key in the backer account is also a Steam key but the "exchange" button next to it allows it to be exchanged for a GoG key, as described in Project Update #66 for the game.

Opera is still doing well, even with things like adblock and do-not-track requests enabled, so all round I'm a happy Horny (a reference to my avatar, not my physical state).
