Dohi64: I don't care about hogs but why aren't these posted as news items instead of (or along with) all the useless fluff?
Probably they can't post it as news due to their own internal policy. But why can't they post in a form of Question, a big orange thingy with unsolved status, and put the naming to look like: "DELISTING: Nightmares from the Deep series" so we all could see that something is going to be delisted first. Also I don't get why it is so hard to always put the game direct links into the OP post so everyone could easily track or check the game in question. And after the delisting process is complete GOG could mark is a Solved.
Ah yes, it would be too easy and convenient for the others.

I hesitated because Nightmares of the Deep series was not on sale, unlike the rest of the the games by the developer.
Artifex Mundi seem to be quite prolific, and I am interested in seeing more of their titles released on GOG.

Yeah, I'm kind of baffled why GOG hasn't added more of their games. Not a single extra HOG in 2 years or more. Makes no sense especially since they stopped being so picky of late.

I literally just found out about this after noticing I couldn't find them when I wanted to buy them. THIS IS WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE THESE ANNOUNCEMENTS IN THE NEWS SECTION!

GOG's old policy was fine, whereby they used to make a normal post on the forums for delisting announcements, and thereby most people saw them. For the past year or two though, GOG inexplicably decided to make all delisting announcements become effectively invisible, by way of Stickying them and thus ensuring that almost nobody ever sees the delisting posts until after it is too late and the game is already gone, which is when GOG then makes the delisting posts become effectively visible again via de-Stickying them (i.e. your post which I am now replying to is an example of exactly this phenomenon).
Myself and others have called out GOG for this terrible behavior many times, and pointed out that all that "Stickying" accomplishes is to bury the news and make it invisible, and therefore Stickying delisting announcements is not something that GOG should ever be doing.
But as always, GOG never listens, and leaves the problem as is.
There might as well be no delisting announcements at all, since the practically invisible so-called alleged delisting announcements are equally as useless as would be no announcements at all.

I've also seen some instances of them posting delisting in game specific forums where even less people would see it. I just think it would be much better if they put them out in the news section because I feel more people would see it that way. They done it a few times before and I don't understand why they would stop doing that.

from a business point of view, perhaps GOG don't want to "publicly" (as in posting it on the front page) spread the fact that they're losing a game, they might consider it "not a good look". Are you sure you wouldn't have missed the news post anyway? If you check the news posts daily you might also consider checking the forum daily.
(btw just to be clear, I'd have no problem with them posting this as news to the front page, just sharing a different viewpoint. also just to be preemptive, I have no interest in arguing)

This is sad. I really enjoyed all three games. I hope they get what every problem sorted out quickly.

This is a shame. I made a choice to buy all of the Artifex Mundi games in hopes of getting them to publish more to GOG. Sadly there have been no new Artifex Mundi games on her for years.
