The reason why Steam is superior. Is because you can change nickname whenever you want.
In GOG you are stucked with the nick your first chose.

GOG is DRM free games. In that way GOG is superior to steam.
But Steam allows you to change nicknames at will. This make Steam superior to GOG.
In my opinion GOG needs to add a steam feature. Change NICK NAME ONLINE ALIAS whenever you want.

INDEED! I think I'm going to switch to steam now, you've convinced me. GOG WILL NEVER LEARN!
You can always contact support and ask to change your username, I did it multiple times with no hassle. They even helped me get my name from another account to transfer to my new main one.

It is better if we can change nick at will without online support. It is such a hassle.
This is the reason why I never bought a single games on GOG. Because that nick thingy annoyed me a lot.
Which is why I only buy games at steam.

You let the one thing of not changing a username at will prevent you from buying a game on here? Well I wish you luck on your journey in life and all the best for you, Good luck! :)

One size does not fit all. I will always buy at the store the benefits me most. And in this case I play a lot of online games. So steam benefits me the most in this aspect. I am loyal to no one. I will use the shop that benefits me the most.

To each his own. Do note that to a vast majority of people on these forums, the advantage of having DRM-free games far outweighs all the other downsides of GOG, and believe me, we've grown used to quite a few.

Not that anything is wrong with what you are saying, since I'm sure it makes perfect sense to you, just be aware that most people will interpret it as something in the lines of: "I won't buy this 1967 Mustang because I don't like the shape of its rear-view mirrors."

Don't worry, if it's a steam feature GOG will implement it.

Would not buy old 1967 Mustang car either. The new cars in 2018 has automated gears, awesome sound speakers and GPS. The old car use AUDIO music CD. The new cars have USB audio sticks and USB chargers for mobile phones. I would rather have 1000 songs on my USB sticks than 16 songs on AUDIO CD. The old Mustang is a classic but outdated for modern use. Only collectors buy old cars. Using an old 1967 Mustang in 2018 would have an huge cost on car maintenance and car reparations. In long use I would lose to much money on car maintenance and car reparations that it would be not worth it to buy an old classic. And besides. Manual gear is such a hassle when automated gears are more safe to use. With manual cars. One wrong gearing down or up will cause you car to stop. With automated cars you car never stop. The old Mustang will give me economic downfall in maintenance and reparations cost anyway.

And also for most cars. After driving 200000 kilometers. Means your car are done. Always buy new car after it have driven 200000 kilometers. Only ignorant people with no car experience buys a used car that has driven 200000 kilometers on the road.
I'm sorry, but why did the OP make this thread? :P

Anyone else here make a habit of going into stores, announcing you never shop there, and the leaving? XD

Man, what a stroker.

Or only people with a lot of car experience, who can appreciate a bit of engineering and history... but ok, point taken. It was only a (perhaps poor) analogy anyway.

Feel free to praise Lord Gaben :).

Only old cars use stick. All new cars sold in 2018 are stickless.
In Norway if you want to buy stick. You must buy old car.
When you buy new car. Stick does not exist.

buddy, when you write this:

everyone who has ever driven a manual immediately knows you have no idea what you are talking about. let it rest... have fun at steam :)
