fil-cat: oh, and also the "owned" hint has changed.
Now when you already own something it gets a little lable on the preview-pic that it is already in your library.
But that label is buggy, sometimes it shows, sometimes not, sometimes it show and disappears after a second ...
PixelBoy: In other words: they have copied the design straight from Steam!
No, I hate to say: not at all.
It is worse!
I love GoG (the service). I prever it over Steam because Steam is clunky and bloated and DRM and bullying client use and online and all that. I only use Steam for some Indie titles and some AAA that aren't on GoG unfortunately (if they would I would abandon Steam all together).
GoG's previous layout was neat and functional and minimalistic. Looked a bit old-School but was OK for a client. In fact I liked the functional old school.
If you now compare the clunky Steam, you have a much clearer overview than on that new GoG design. The buttons are not massive, you know imediately when a game is in your library and don't get a buy option straight away still, bundles and DLC's are clearly and immediately listed as buy options underneath ...
I don't like it, but I must admit grudgingly that currently Steam does a better job in clarity and clean layout.
But it wasn't like this before. GoG was different but clean and clear enough. I totally don't get the need for a design change
