GOG newbie here. Anyone know around the time a GOG spring sale happens? I heard about some big insomniac sale and wondering if they might have an insomniac sale too.

It happens when it happens...
Meanwhile, new small sale every Monday, then expanded (for some reason no one can fathom, except clickbait) over the weekend.

Jump here to check the historical sales' dates. For future - nobody knows. But it looks that the answer is: it may take a while...
The "it happens when it happens" is the correct answer to a possible Spring Sale. I don't remember if such a sale happens or not. There are at least large Summer and Winter Sales, but not all of the library gets discounted. I don't track this stuff holistically, around here someone probably does. There wasn't an Insomnia sale for the last half of 2016 and I don't know when it last happened.

There's also Imsomnia sales which happen at random intervals. Next week sale will likely be Valentine's day themed.

The last two or three years, the big spring sale was an Insomnia sale (although last year's kinda sucked). Both of the last two started in March (early March in 2015, later March last year). They'll certainly have some sort of large-ish sale in the next couple months, but it still probably won't be as massive or as long as the other three seasonal sales generally are.

And one year, they had a Time Machine sale. Another St. Patty's Day and "Pots of Gold". GoG usually does a slightly bigger "Spring Sale" but it usually doesn't involve nearly the whole catalog like the Summer/Fall/Winter sales and often is a big "experimental" like an Insomnia or the various Mutator/Pot of Gold/Mystery Box sales.

Spring sale is usually a bit odd, Insomnia or pay £2.99 for a random game kind of thing. As I recall it doesn't usually hit till March though.

The weekly sale this week might be a little bigger or have some other element because of Valentines Day, but I wouldn't expect too much more than a themed weekly sale really.
Maybe they need a breather after the five sales in the last three months of 2016..

This!

The next sale will probably be in next month according to previous years' sales. 3 months without a big sale is a good breather time.

They should go a full year without putting a single game on sale. Might get rid of some of the scabs. Gaming these is about buying things cheap and not playing them.
The weekly sale this week does not appear.
Maybe something big is around the corner?
Probably Valentine's Day sales starting today.
Yeah, I think the same.

As for Insomnie/Spring Sale: I think it will hit on March
