Hello there. I've never played the Witcher.
What interest would it be of mine to play this?

I played all three Witcher games and Thronebreaker, read all the books, the comic books, watched the Polish tv series and as much of the Netflix one I could stomach and yet I have the exact same question.
CDPR should make a Pokemon-like monster battling and collection game in the Witcher universe with the Witcher bestiary.
Maybe they should redirect Spokko to cyberpunk bug fixing. We don't need another garbage mobile game.

I don't play mobile games(don't have a mobile) , but it looks semi decent enough. That said:

It's "free to play" with mTx? And "DRMd" as well? Oh, some of the gog forum users are gonna "love" that, I bet.

By my counts that doubles the "DRMd" Witcher game count(gwent being the first)....but this one isn't on the GOG store, so that'll hopefully make some others happy at least.

Hi! ^

I don`t know. You can basically play it on your reader next to chess, it does not need to be a mobile phone.

@Darvond : Because you never played Witcher?

@Breja : Because you played/watched the whole series and this is a part of it? (btw, are any new (2017+) books from the Witcher World on the horizon?)

@Shadowstalker16 : "The Witcher GO" where The Witchers can meet in local parks looking for monsters :D

@k37chup : You just said Spokko and cyberpunk in the same sentence. It`s dangerous, it might cause Cyberpunk GO to happen :D

Thank you! To stir it up a bit more, there are two more games to fit this Topic, made by CD PROJEKT itself.

One would be a great disappointment for everyone not playing GWENT as that is what it is.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cdprojektred.gwent 1 000 000+ installations
(free with in-app purchases)
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gwent-the-witcher-card-game/id1466943149

Yet the other one is The Witcher Tales: Thronebreaker.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cdprojektred.gwentthronebreaker 100 000+ installations
(...)$10 for the full game. (...)
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-witcher-tales/id1564265387
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-witcher-2-interactive-comic-book/id514528113 free

observed something within the new generation, and this is no use of laptops :D having everything on the tablet, unless someone is a gamer, the Android versions of games can really bring more fans to the series. imho. : ) like 100 000+ installations for The Witcher: Monster Slayer two days after release : )

It will make this game store only stronger and more recognizable.

I like The Witcher World and this is my interest in it, big enough to check those games, no promises to keep it : )

This proves they can keep "free to play" microtransaction vehicles that they want to make on other stores and not on GOG. So why is GWENT here? Why is Cyberpunk "My Rewards" gated behind an online client requirement (i.e., DRMed)? Keep anti-consumer schemes and DRM off of the DRM-free store. There is literally no excuse given that they can put this stuff on mobile or on their own site or anywhere else.

Because it isn't a phone only game. If this new game was on PC, I am guessing they might have it here as well.

Like physical store pre-order bonuses, I am guessing it's to draw people to use galaxy.

They have phone games here, Tempest is a phone game (they didn’t even bother changing the UI which says things like swipe left and right). It’s just down to GOG curation(tm) (play files theme).

Of course it’s to push people to galaxy, end of the day it benefits nobody other than gog/CDPR. More of their anti consumer antics which is quite common here now. You could argue steam is actually better as they never had any ideals before and the client was there initially, so whilst the same, they haven’t gone back on anything.
So I presume this is somewhat similar to the Pokemon Go or whatever that game was where kids were walking around with their phones, trying to catch new creatures "in the real world"?

If you mean those 30 years old kids, then yes.

Sorry for not being more clear....I meant game installers/files for phones(atm GOG sells PC/Mac/Linux only).

This is similar to one of my own principles/stances/etc....I admire open honesty, even if stated a bit crudely/bluntly, somewhat more so than sweet sounding things that turn out to be more or less lies.

So we can possibly expect a bunch of people walking around without watching where they're going and other people trespassing onto private land, just like with that game? Oh joy. /s
