Since the powers-that-is didn't put up a news post about the other sale, I will. (2 minutes after I post this, someone will point out that the sale does have its own thread.) Yeah, I know they mentioned it elsewhere, but these titles are damn good and this sale should get its own hoopla.

Hey, everybody! Up to 75% off on the 2K titles that do not contain the words "hidden" or "dangerous". That means everything except the new Hidden & Dangerous titles. (fine print: "2K" does not mean there are 2,000 games on sale. Don't be thick.)

Now, "up to 75%" means that some titles are NOT 75% off. Y'all been warned 'n shit.

Wanna blow up aliens but get your ass handed to you many times along the way? Then X-Com is for you!

Wanna see why Sid Meier is a genius and why the entire gaming community should give him silent thanks every once in a while just because? Then check out the Civilization games and Pirates! And Railroad Tycoon.

Something something about Army Men - I haven't played them so I'll just assume they're fun and you should give them a shot.

And geez, Freedom Force! Seriously, at a buck-fiddy each you can Not. Go. Wrong. picking up these two titles.

Anywho, sale lasts until, I dunno, 3-and-a-half days from now, so Sunday / Monday-ish. Buy some stuff!
GOG should hire you.
He sure has my vote.
Already checked the sale and decided I didn't need anything, really. But now... I'm gonna take a second look.

Edited 18 minutes later: Bought the original X-COM games.

Polish beer... I'll give it a go! Besides, I do have a Polish (probably Amur-canized) last name. Yadayadaski

In all seriousness, they sure packed a lot of good stuff in a small-scale sale. Microprose and Sid Meier, straight out of the dictionary definition for Good Old Games. /high-five with 2K

And dagnabbit, I forgot to link the sale: https://www.gog.com/promo/20170223_special_promo_2k_sale

Is first name Kurwa by any means? :P

I have heard you are not Polish enough if you don't use "kurwa" at least once.

I highly recommend Freedom Force, the whole 60s comic-book atmosphere of it is infectiously fun.

that game still crashes when I close it

Doesn't affect game play obviously but it's annoying.

Historically, ending "ski" in your surname pointed that you are a noble. It's not true anymore but I thought you might like to know it ;)

As for the Polish beer. Avoid everything that was bought by Heineken or Carlsberg. Choose small breweries that are still making traditional beers.

Przepraszać, zapraszać, wypraszać, napraszać, naspraszać, dopraszać, odpraszać, rozpraszać, spraszać, wpraszać, upraszać are all completely different verbs but they sound very similar for foreigners ;)

I was looking for this thread for a while and - here it is. It was necessary for the sake of world order and great thank you for closing this loophole ;)

Hey everybody, buying any of these games? Really good stuff. Maybe gift some to a friend as an introduction to both classic gaming and DRM-free goodness. The perfect combo!

/ sits up a bit straighter

Haha - I'm a "ski" by adoption somewhere along the line. My bloodline - if it can be called that, much like a mutt has some sort of bloodline - didn't acquire it through any noble means.
