I've enjoyed being an account holder with GoG for a long time.
In fact, I've been very pleased to see everything about the store, and my game management get better and better over the yrs. Not why I came but this is good stuff: For a period of yrs I lost touch. We settled here in 2018 and I needed some serious assistance to get my account recovered essentially and the persistence and thoroughness of the Individual helping me ...well. I'm here today, and going stroooong! Love'n me some GoG.

My question is about a sublist on the Extras page.
Recently installed PoE II: Deadfire and looked curiously 'again' at all the listed content right BELOW Goodies.
NoT the goodies themselves.
There's an area called Offline Backup Installers. DLC content. Patches, etc...
My question is simply What do I do with this stuff?
Are all these listed files already installed?
Perhaps better asked, "Do I need to install each of these myself?".
If so, which ones?

Ehh... alright so that was like four questions + ... any and all help is already appreciated.

If you're using Galaxy, then you've got everything you need. That's what it's supposed to do.

But you might be interested in this:

The big thing about GOG is you don't need a client connected to internet to install and play games. Instead, you can do it old fashioned way, by downloading installer files. GOG calls them "offline backup game installers" for some reason. Once you have them on your computer, you don't need internet to install and run your games.

Now, those offline installers contain the most up to date version of games (with some unfortunate exceptions I presume). Patches are for when you just want to update your games when a new version comes out. DLCs you have to download separately.

Yet again, you don't need any of those if you're using Galaxy, but it's something many users value a lot.

Doesn't galaxy just download and install the offline installers?
I believe I had this question answered here:

The base offline installer is already updated to the current version. The patches below are more for legacy versions if you didn't update back then.

No. And yes. ;)

Galaxy builds and offline installer builds are separate (which causes some parity issues from time to time and/or delays of offline installer updates...). But, if you wish, you can only use Galaxy as a downloader for offline installers.
