My main character repairs toasters and I got an RPG out of one.

The Steam early access worries me. It opens it up to the mainstream audience. Hope there are no suggestions and complaints like "Hey, this doesn't feel like Fallout 3 or Skyrim" or "Ammo should be universal and unlimited." or "Combat is too slow. Should be real-time and firstperson". Think I'll go open a suggestion for inXile to ignore all these potential fags.

Early Access games are pretty expensive. Planetary Annihilation was selling at $80 at early access launch iirc.

ps. didn't wasteland get more then enough from kickstarter to want more via early access? Something seems *off/wrong about this.

I was hoping that the Beta lasted for at least a week b4 the Early Access addition. Now I don't really feel like that much of an exclusive backer so to speak.

This is what worries me the most when kickstarted games pop up on early access. Hopefully this game at least is too far along the road for too many of those types of opinions to influence the development of the game

I think it's less about that and more about trying not to annoy Kickstarter backers.

Steam has a huge playerbase which is why I'm worried. Fortunately, Early Access games are also expensive, so it'll turn some of them off. Incidentally, WL2 just went to Top 3 Selling Game today. So there are bound to be stupid suggestions here and there from self-entitled steam users. However, I'm also quite a self-entitled Kickstarter backer and I'll try my best not to have steamfanboys or bethesdafanboys have their way. I'm waiting to see if there are anyone suggesting that the game should be on steam only with steam integrated features like achievements and all that useless crap haha.

Hope they use the money to at least add more good content like sidequests to the game.

Same difference tho; you either paid us $55 on our store directly and got it on Steam, or now get it directly on Steam. From a practical perspective nothing's changed in how exclusive/valuable it is, except, uh, we're selling a lot more copies.

I backed for the CE so I can't really care about the beta/early access prices, it's more of the timing and steam thingy.
Yeah, makes sense how most people would like giving that fat Gabe that 30% commission since almost all games on steam would sell more. But hey, if that extra money goes into making WL2 and Torment a much better game, I'm more than ok with it as long as I get the final product on GOG which I know you all are providing.
