first Wasteland 2 screenshot that's not looking good.

The UI looks really ugly to me. It combines different fonts, large and small text, and a ton of tiny buttons all over the screen into one big mess.

They originally had a larger UI, but they got a lot of complaints and went the tiny route.

Small buttons are not a problem per se, but the UI doesn't seem to have a consistent style to it. It just looks chaotic and aesthetically unappealing, but that's just my opinion.

Actually looking closer at it, i still think its fine - whats not consistent?. Colour design of UI seems consistent with the overall colour theme of the game and smaller the better - see more of the action :)

Indeed. I believe that they're going to let people move the UI elements around, and turn off the grid. The graininess is hopefully a result of them upsizing a lower resolution image as it doesn't look as good as the other screenshots.

It would look a lot better if it wasn't for the excessive vaseline filter, depth of field or whatever it is that makes the image so blurry.

They said the player will be able to disable all the DOF effects which is exactly what I'm gonna do first thing I receive the Beta and game, hate DOF and motion blur in games.

DOF i dont mind. Motion blur... why do games even have that? doesnt feel like it adds anything....

In an isometric game where you can see vast tracks to land or a huge area I do mind DOF. It makes slightly more sense in an FP game but I find it irritating as well and disable it all the time. Only time where I find it acceptable is DOF during speeches where the background is blurred.

2.5 weeks from now? I think Fargo's plan all along was to give his backers a way of distracting themselves from family gatherings during the holidays by sneaking away to play some Wasteland 2. ;)

2.5 weeks, can't wait. Would be nice to know which day exactly, take a day leave off work.

I see my table in that screenie. Cloned twice so they look exactly the same, could have moved the props away or delete some of them at least so they look slightly different. Pretty sure I made them with seperate meshes. Heh
