I would like the original Wasteland to come here so I can play it first.

"Brian Fargo ‏ @BrianFargo
It's official! Mark Morgan who composed the music for @Fallout 1 and 2 has signed on to help do the same and set the mood for #wasteland."
Never play the first Wasteland, but I am interested in this one, though I doubt by the time the game gets completed my aging laptop can handle it.

I am throwing down for this puppy, been waiting for a true sequel since '88 when I first got hooked on computers from the original.

MM is the man. He did the Planescape: Torment soundtrack too. FLAC soundtracks please!

They don't intend to do anything graphically cutting edge, so I wouldn't be surprised if you can run the game when it finally comes out.

Nitpicking time! From the article:
"Despite the time that has passed since the 1988 release, the original composer of the Wasteland game"

What version of Wasteland did the author play? I'd like to play it too :P
Any chance they could release the original Wasteland game here on GOG? Seems like I remember reading an article that said InXile got the rights back.

Edit: Found the article

Fargo said there was some legal problems to re-releasing the original Wasteland a week or two on Twitter. Not sure what those problems be.

The problem's name starts with E and ends with A.

Now seriously, would be great to have the original Wasteland available for purchase on GOG, it would be an instabuy for me.

This is what I've been dreaming of even more than whatever Obsidian might try to make.

I usually want to see a prototype (technology category) before I pledge anything. This idea of pledging for a finished product that doesn't have anything to show yet usually doesn't sit well with me (anyone can say "Give me money and I'll cure cancer!"), but getting a good reputation is not an easy thing to do. As the Double Fine project showed, having an excellent, established reputation is a very valuable asset.

For everybody else, they'll probably have to put in some time (you better love what you do) making something to show off.

If people can't afford that either, I think another potential way to fund a project is having multiple small projects for the entire project. Like this - http://www.kickstarter.com/blog/guest-post-kyle-henry-on-a-whole-lotta-fourplay
Website's coming up Monday, KickStarter supposed to start later next week.
"In other Wasteland 2 news we have brought back another designer from Wasteland.. Mr. Ken St. Andre..also creator of Tunnels and Trolls."

"Brian Fargo ‏ @BrianFargo
The official Wasteland 2 forum is live! Come give your comments. wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com"

Last of the old core Wasteland team to be signed up i think.

Impressive that they could get them all together after all this time.

This is definitely one I'll be backing.
