Ok,...I get what you're saying...unfortunately - when GOG scrapped the old PM-system, I decided to opt out of private messaging, completely. :)

tinyE: I grew up when multi player meant putting two quarters into the machine.
I grew up when the only multiplayer meant playing a round or two of soggy biscuit.

blaketmcp: Hey guys, i heard about this site from a friend. I've never played an older game that wasn't online or multiplayer aside from one which i played when i was little and it was called majesty. I loved it, but then i got into MOBA's. ANYWAY, i was curious if anyone could give me some fantastic ideas for what games to start off with, something that will like totally capture me. It'd be great, thanks in advance
If you enjoy MOBAs, I would suggest "Dragonshard".

I think there's an Asian porn movie of that game called Dragon's Hard, or at least there should be.

Fairfox: Nox™

:) <3
Man, Nox is one weird-ass game. It's SO not what I was expecting. But largely in a good way. With its focus on action, automated levelling system and crazy humour it feels more like Magicka than Diablo.

F4LL0UT: Lol, I'm mostly intrigued by the "enthralling predecessor to Portal". Never heard about it. Would you mind checking its title?
It's Narbacular Drop

Kim Swift and a group of her fellow graduates developed Narbacular Drop, a portal-based game that was later presented to Valve, which led to Gabe Newell personally offering to hire them so that they could create the critically acclaimed game Portal.
Kim Swift was both the leader of the Portal team as well as a level designer.

Oh lol, I actually did know about this particular one and the story behind it. The cover of the scanned CD you posted showed some 2D game beneath the text so I thought there may have been another game before or after Narbacular Drop. Still, thanks.
