Seeing as GOG's chat is pretty new still, I think they should take a look over there... new Steam chat is close to being like Discord which is pretty nice.

Group chats are just great! They really need to do some work to make Steam more modern.

Yea group chats would be pretty useful. This is the beginning update, the are overhauling the Steam UI now and this is the first step.
