I learned about two games in the internet that might be interesting for some GOGgers.

The first is a strategy game called Ceres.
If you ever wondered how it would have been to fully control and customize a
small battle squadron in Homeworld, Elite, Nexus: the Jupiter Incident or
hack your way into enemy ships in cyberspace,
then this game is for you !

The second is a space combat sim with the name Wings of Saint Nazaire.
Wings of Saint Nazaire is a retro space combat sim in the vein of Wing Commander™ and X-Wing™ developed today!

It has been great to see a resurgence of interest in space-based games recently and Ceres is looking like an interesting addition to the genre, I will be sure to keep an eye out for it in future. I am not so sure about Wings of Saint Nazaire, it looks a little too retro for me, the graphics are unimpressive, and I do not currently see any reason to play it over some of the games I already have.
Thanks for sharing!

Wishlisted!

Retro graphics? Man I thought I was picky. By retro graphics, I thought you were talking like the original Wing Commander...but it looks closer to StarLancer or Tachyon.
That Ceres game looks pretty cool! 'Voted!

Perhaps I should have said old rather than retro, but those games did come out 14 years ago, and if Wings of Saint Nazaire does not look any better (and will probably not play any better) then I might as well just play them or something more recent that does take advantage of advances in technology. Still, it is not done yet, so it is too early to tell what the finished product will be.

Why yes, yes I have! Voted, thanks for bringing this to our attention OP.
Voted. We don't have too many games like Homeworld or Nexus: The Jupiter Incident so this is a welcome addition.

I don't think that Wings of Saint Nazaire looks that old or bad. It just doesn't look like Starcitizen.
I quite like Wings of Saint Nazaire, but it's too early to know if it will be indeed good.
Both of them look pretty good at this point :)

And how much money is being pumped into Starcitizen??? :P

Out of curiosity any of these will have some form of battle *chatter* while in combat? (that just popped into my head haha)

"Cut the chatter Red 2!" <3 ;)

I love that stuff, some of my favorite moments from Battlestar Galactica were the Viper dogfights, for instance.

I mean it does make sense doesnt it? ;)
There's also Starbound, Interstellaria, and Astrobase Command. And guess what? All of them on Steam early access only. Come on, GOG, give us some more space adventure fun!
