timppu: Yeah, but how about old releases of genuinely new games? Like releasing a 2017 game already in 2002?

How could they even start to do that? Has it been done already?
Does Kentucky Route Zero count? It seems to be a 2020 game or so, first released in 2013. :P

Having Ignition and Pizza Tycoon 1 and 2 in the new year was a great start to the 'good old games' add to that Imperium Galactic 1 and 2.

CharlesGrey: It's just that we get one of these threads at least once per week, and they always turn out exactly the same way. ( OP complains about lack of old game releases, JMich promptly corrects them, and then the rest of the forum frequents poke fun at OP and take the whole thing off topic. )

It's hard to believe that anyone would still make this kind of thread, unless it's meant as a joke. Especially since GOG did actually release several "classics" during the last few weeks. People just love to complain, I guess... ?

OP registered about six months ago, and has apparently only ever posted a few times before creating this thread, so he fits the profile.
That. It's like entering a room, asking "where is Steve?", and then getting a snarky or irritated response because 3 other people already asked the same question in the last 10 minutes. For the people in the room, it's irritating, especially if Steve left the room just before the other guests entered and asked repeatedley about him. But for the guy who just entered the room, asked politely a question, and became an object of ridicule because of it, it's... a little harsh, maybe?

Worse, everyone goes away with a (poorly founded) bad impression of the other party: The regulars wind up illogically lumping all of the askers of oft-asked questions together, as if it were one person asking the question over and over again ("Not this again, we just went over this last week!"); while the rando who asked the question and got a bunch of snarky, irritated or outright hostile responses right off the bat is likely to form an impression of the forum being filled with assholes, and will probably be loath to return, and might badmouth the place to other people in the bargain.

Not only that, but last december we saw some many great classic releases; can't argue man, GOG's releases have been unique lately (i-m-h-o) ;D
