GOG is actually named after Hulk Hogan , the Great Orange God. True story.

We just had ignition - favorite racer - and Lost Eden!

Dammit. And here I thought I finally found the solution to that acronym when Telltale announced their Guardians of the Galaxy game.

I honestly can't even tell if OP is serious, or if this is just supposed to be some meme/ running gag. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Never doubt the stupidity of the average human being... :p

Tallima: With all the old releases lately, I thought this thread wasocking all the other threads stains the same. But I think it might not have been.

By the bye it's not GOG or Gog. It's gog. All lowercase. Everyone else here does it wrong.
Is it just me, or do I remember a time when it was called GoG?
I must have dreamt that. It wouldn't even make sense!

It's just that we get one of these threads at least once per week, and they always turn out exactly the same way. ( OP complains about lack of old game releases, JMich promptly corrects them, and then the rest of the forum frequents poke fun at OP and take the whole thing off topic. )

It's hard to believe that anyone would still make this kind of thread, unless it's meant as a joke. Especially since GOG did actually release several "classics" during the last few weeks. People just love to complain, I guess... ?

Why is it hard to believe? It's pretty much always someone who has either never or seldom spent any time in the general forum before, and so would be unaware of how often the question gets asked and answered. OP registered about six months ago, and has apparently only ever posted a few times before creating this thread, so he fits the profile.

The fact that he posted it now, amid one of the biggest runs of 10-or-more-year-old game releases in recent memory, is strange, but it probably just means he either hasn't been paying much attention to releases this month, or the recent spate of oldies were not old enough or famous enough to suit him. ;)

greg_siddons: I've noticed a real slow-down of old games being released on GOG. New releases have been totally swamped by much more recent titles, many totally new ones.

I thought GOG was meant to be mainly Good Old Games???

Rant over. Thoughts?
I almost forgot to link to my stock answer for whenever this comment comes up. :)

I'm good.

I'm old.

And I'm always game.

Any questions?

These threads will continuously be made in a serious manner as long as highly-desired old games are still unavailable here.

Not to mention the name of the webpage: GOG.com...it's written up there in the title bar x)
Yeah, but how about old releases of genuinely new games? Like releasing a 2017 game already in 2002?

How could they even start to do that? Has it been done already?
