IFW: Hi,

How long is the game?
There is one review here on GOG, that says that you need VR to enjoy the ending? Really?
Our beta players clocked 5-8 hours on average. You can finish it much quicker, but it's an exploration game and if you just want to run through it quickly then the game isn't probably for you.

Personally I enjoy the ending on traditional display as well. I can understand why someone might say you need VR to really enjoy it but it's definitely not designed to be a VR only experience, just like the rest of the game.

Sounds like it is for me :)

And the usual question: any sequel in the works...? Just in case it ends on a cliffhanger... ;)

Thanks.

pommak: Hey, it's one of the developers here!

Unfortunately it seems I'm not allowed post links so you need to do the search yourself.
You should ask GOG to give you developer status. That not only grants you beautiful orange text colour, but will probably also give you the ability to post links (but I'm not sure about that).

Even though I would love to do a sequel, prequel or something totally else we're still committed in bringing updates and improving the VR aspects of the game so there's still lots of stuff to do regarding this game. But we have some great concepts waiting to be taken into production ;)

Hey, pommak! I am very delighted to have you and your game here. Congratulations on launch! Everything I have seen on this game looks gorgeous and I am very excited to give the VR version a try. I wish you and your teammates lots of success! Best of luck on finishing work on the full VR and PS4 versions. Any chance the PS4 version will be compatible with Playstation VR, or is it too early to tell? Thanks for taking the time to talk with us here!
I'm impressed. I havn't been an astronaut before.

MarkoH01: I am very, very interested in this but I am also very scared of the SSD reccendation. Please could somebody tell me why I do need an SSD to play an adventure game of this kind? Maybe it is just lazy programming (bad streaming like in Batman Arkham Knight?). Before I don't know what this should mean and why this recommendation is here I will not buy it.

Smannesman: Depending on the speed of your drive you get little loading 'hiccups' while moving around.
It's kind of annoying, but since it's not an action game (I think) it might not be a deal breaker for some.
Ah I just read that the dev explained that only loading times will be affected. If this is the case it is o.k. for me. However you are speaking of stuttering during the gameplay which would destroy immersion for me. So who is right here?

The SSD recommendation is just for the loading times. The game doesn't really stream during the actual gameplay so it shouldn't affect the performance even if you play on HDD.

We're also anxiously waiting for reviews to appear, but you can find Let's play videos on Youtube. Unfortunately it seems I'm not allowed post links so you need to do the search yourself.

Let me know if you have any other questions! Happy to answer :)

Well I tried the 'demo' so I'm speaking from experience, I ran it from my non-SSD and I definitely got hiccups.
I had the same issue with an early version of Ziggurat.
And on Steam there are several people stating the game is poorly optimized.
Personally I think it's just a Unity engine thing, it's a jack of all trades master of none kind of engine.
Just when you think gaming has turned into a copy of a mutliplayer shooter, lo! something of grandness like this comes along and renews your videogame mojo. I so much would like to visit Titan. Only one thing missing, a robot with a smiley face, with Kevin Spacey's voice.

"How are you feeling today, Sam?"

I might try the demo (I assume it is on steam?) as well to see how badly it runs for me. 20$ is a lot of money for a game and at this pricetag it should be optimized imo.
We don't have a demo available as we haven't found a good way to do so for a story driven game that doesn't take tens of hours to complete.

It seems we might have set the default settings a bit too high. The game's Ultra settings really require a high end rig to run well. If you encounter lots of stuttering you should try reducing a texture quality from Ultra to High, it should definitely help.

Rest assured we're working hard to improve the game, and based on community's feedback perf side is definitely something that we need to fix in the future updates.

Maighstir: But, but... what if I'm allergic to pollen?
Yeah me I'm already hating this release. They even released it during spring...

You could offer a sort of techdemo. Lots of indies are doing teasers ("Asylum" i.e. comes to mind) which only offers the possibility for potential buyers to see if the game seems to run well and if they like the way it plays. I understand how hard it probably is to dio this without spoiling the narrative but rest assured that you will have mor buyers if they are able to play at least a tiny bit of the game on their own rig.

HEH.

Look who showed up (:

Also: Make the game work on Linux so when I buy my copy I can play it (:

Also: congrats.

Also: people suggesting you do a demo (: I'll be over here enjoying that joke.
I wish there was a demo. Just finished the game after ~4.5 hours and I am utterly disappointed.
