We must buy all the LucasArts game so they keep coming with more games, realizing how much money GOG can bring in for LucasArts.
That way, we'll soon see Grim Fandango. I find it supririsng how little it's mentioned here, considering it's top position in the wishlist.
Dreaming of Rebellion and KOTOR 2 already.

Grim Fandango, Grim Fandango, Grim Fandango! XD I would drop dead from joy if that's on the list!

Like I said before, since Double Fine is working on an HD remaster of the game for the PS4 and the PC, I think it's likely Mr. Schafer bought Grim Fandango's rights from Disney/Lucasfilm/LucasArts, so, I would think getting Grim Fandango on GOG is now a matter to be discussed with Double Fine Productions, and not with Disney.

Considering how high on the wishlist the game is, and how most of the GOG community mostly wanted LucasArts on board for Grim Fandango alone, it would have been obvious for GOG to sell the game as soon as they could, which leaves me to think they aren't selling it already because they can't.

I just hope Double Fine releases Grim Fandango HD on GOG, at least...

This is disastrous news.
The HD release is all fine and well, but I chiefly want to play the original.
But isn't Double Fine already in some partnership with GOG? MAybe they don't want to release the orginal version out of fear it will hurt sales of te HD version?

It isn't THAT disastrous. The HD remaster will include the original version (and the ability to switch back and forth between the two, like with the MI:SEs). I'd rather wait for the remaster version than having to buy it twice.
Double Fine didn't buy the Grim Fandango IP, only licensed it.
When I registered here, almost 6 years ago, I would have never guessed that it would take Disney buying Lucasfilm for LucasArts licensing to finally have some respect for their old fanbase.

Between these re-releases and Tim Schafer himself working on an enhanced version of Grim Fandango, I'm really beginning to enjoy how Disney is handling all this, at least for the games.
Thanks a lot Disney/GOG!

I really hope they will ad two of my LucasArts favorites: X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter and Outlaws with the 1998 extra four missions and 2.0 upgrade :-)

It's a bit sad really. Releasing on GOG back when we utterly begged for it might even have saved LucasArts from having to sell to Disney.

Imagine it. Had they released here in good time, no one would have to put up with a shitty new Star Wars film.

Err, I kinda doubt GOG sales would have impacted Disney buying Lucas ^^

As for the movie, I cross my fingers. I liked several recent D movies, and they can hardly make a worse job than Lucas did with the prequels ;)

I CAN DREAM.
I still can't believe my eyes. Thank you ever so much Disney & GOG for making our dreams come true! I'm awestruck and speechless...

Ain't that the truth. Although the prospect of a saga continuation produced and directed by Abrams doesn't excite me at all I still welcome the takeover as it has become increasingly clear over the last couple of decades that Lucas the visionary craftsman who adamantly respected, valued and fought to protect our cultural heritage has been replaced by a stubborn, mischievous and continually unchallenged ignoramus. At least we now have an inkling of hope that we might live to see an official rerelease of the original trilogy in all its unaltered glory. Now if only Disney would take over Fox thus acquiring the rights...
disney releasing lucasarts games drm-free?

mind officially blown.

thanks, disney and thanks, gog.
