Not only a great addition to the catalog, but I've been seeing an unusual amount of press coverage for the X-Wing and Tie Fighter releases. It's big that GOG not only has these games DRM-free but that the most hyped ones are currently GOG-exclusive rather than being a "yeah, you can get it on Steam" situation.

budejovice: Which of those two are you playing first? I'm going to pop one of them on the MacBook Pro as soon as I get home, but as yet undecided on which one...
Unfortunately - none, for now at least. I've just bought classic Wings few days ago and I'm in a mood for flying. But when the time comes for adventure - I think Indy wins.
Well done GOG. This certainly goes a long way toward making up for losing a publisher or two because of your anal pricing policies. Glad to see Disney was convinced to finally hop on board.

I haven't been playing any games lately but I bought Sam and Max because it's a favorite and I wanted to support the deal somehow. Hope to buy more in the future when I feel like playing them. You done good, son.

If you're in the mood for flying, you bought the wrong 2 today! :)

Just teasing, I'm looking forward to getting into Wings before too long myself. But I've never played a Lucas adventure, so curiosity will have the best of me for the next few days at least.
Yes!!!Great addition....Hopping very soon for Grim Fandango...!
Had this announcement been made just two months ago I would be spending like a hyperkinetic kid on a candy store with his daddy's wallet. Unfortunately, as I just committed myself to pay for a new house I'll be in a platonic relationship with these games for a long while.

Bah. It doesn't matter, It'll take longer but I'll definitely buy each one of these games and so many more Disney is bound to bring us. Rogue Squadron, Grim Fandango, Loom... they all have a empty spot in my shelf just waiting to be filled.

Thank you Disney and GOG. May this partnership bring us all happiness.
Great moment for GOG and for the fans. I will surely buy a couple of games during the next time and hopefully will also find time playing them. After Baldurs Gate this is probably the second most famous moment in GOG's history and I'm quite impressed by your achievement. I hope many, many more people will now come here and buy (DRM free classic) games on GOG.

bmshirey: When you run the installers from gog.com what are the tos you agree to? Is the disney one posted for you to agree to? Cus I don't see how they can enforce something that you never agreed to, that was never brought to your attention in the first place.
As I am not purchasing any Disney games, I can not say for sure. I would guess that the GOG installer simply includes a copy of the current Disney EULA verbiage and points to http://disneytermsofuse.com/english/ as the place where amended versions would appear. Perhaps someone who has purchased a Disney game can confirm.

Note that the game cards for Disney games on GOG all say:

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS OF USE REQUIRED TO PLAY

and it would seem stupid for GOG to be scaring customers away with such a draconian EULA if the installer has a nicer one.

Finally came online today and behold Tie Fighter and X-Wing. Way to go gog! Thanks for the good work.
Insta-bought KOTOR and wishlisted Sam &Max.
Best day in GOG so far... happiest GOG day.

Can't wait for FULL THROTTLE and THE DIG.
Awesome!
They mentioned other games. If "Rogue Squadron", "Rebellion" and "X-Wing Alliance" are part of them... my childhood is renewed.
