I'd say the coming years for PC Gaming is fairly exciting. I have compiled a list of games that are confirmed to be either in development and with confirmed release dates so these are the PC Games to look forward to in 2020 and beyond:

Baldur's Gate III
Cyberpunk 2077
Diablo IV
Doom Eternal
Elder Scrolls VI
Mechwarrior 5
Overwatch 2
Pheonix Point (Spiritual Successor to X-Com made by the original developer)
Ready or Not (Spiritual Successor to SWAT 4)
Squadron 42 (Single Player/Story Version of Star Citizan)
STALKER 2
Star Citizen
System Shock 3
Total War: Warhammer III
Total War Sagas: Troy
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2
Werewolf the Apocalypse: Earthblood.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Expansion

And lastly games that are temporarily exclusive to Epic Games Store coming out to a wider release like Metro Exodus.

And games that were console exclusives like Red Dead Redemption 2.

I don't see anything upcoming from Ubisoft that's is remotely interesting for me with the exception of mabye Rainbow Six Quarentine and even then I think that game is jumping the shark for Rainbow Six.

What I want from Ubisoft is an Assassin's Creed that takes place in the Medieval Era again.

A Far Cry that takes place in Africa again.

A new Splinter Cell that plays exactly like the first 4 games.

And a proper new Rainbow Six game that plays like Raven Shield.
Only games i have on my radar are:

Baldur's Gate 3

Cyberpunk 2077

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2

Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord

Hollow Knight Silksong

Empire of Sin

Iron Harvest

The Outer Worlds ( if it comes to GOG).

This is assuming they all turn out to be good games. I also want SS3 and STALKER 2 but i have my doubts about them.

Empire of Sin makes me wish for a Mafia game that plays like a CRPG like Fallout 1 and 2.

That would be interesting too, not into strategy ?

Strategy games I don't mind. I just had this idea of why isn't there like say a Tabletop RPG where you play a criminal/gangster?
The only 2 games I'm actually currently looking forward to are:

Age of Empires IV
Serious Sam 4

Both with no official release dates yet :(

I forgot about Age of Empire IV but mabye it has something to do with it being made by Relic Entertainment which fucked up Warhammer 40k Dawn of War 3.

And I don't know if it would even get at least a Steam Release at all.

I also didn't know there was gonna be a Serious Sam 4.

For strategy fans, Crusader Kings 3 has been announced for 2020 as well. After Imperator, it will very likely have a first-day release on GOG.

(And it seems that Paradox is moderating their extreme DLC policy with bigger, less frequent expansions. We'll see).
Bethesda is developing Starfield now.
After Starfield they'll release TES VI.
Please don't forget Two Worlds 3.:)
Shenmue III

I don't care whether "the series was never good" and it could be a crowdfunded gamma bomb of catastrophic proportion but I spent over a decade waiting for another chapter in that game's story and I'm glad to get it while I'm still on the earth.
Baldurs gate 3 might be interesting.

Bannerlord, yes, if it ever gets released.

Doom eternal.

Nothing else jumps out at me, though when these things come out that might change. I see most of it getting worse drm and gambling and such like, so don’t hold out much hope.

I suspect the new AC will be in Roman times would make sense as there is already overlap. What I hope is that they put some effort in, and not just cookie cutter cut and paste the same 5 events across and even bigger map. Get some inventiveness, put some effort in, and it could be a good game.

As for farcry, they could re-work 2, better engine and control, remove some of the bad gameplay decisions. Add more areas and variety.

Too bad Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't coming to PC. I still hope that it will some day however. From what I saw it's going to be a great game.
