I learned that this game is coming. As a massive Star Trek Fan I absolutely hope it also comes to GOG. I know paradox has a lot of games here, but sometimes they seem to be a little delayed.

It looks like it's basically a reskin of Stellaris...but that could be a good thing.

The last really good 4X civ type game Star Trek had was Birth of the Federation (which I have given up hope of ever having it arrive on GOG). It has some problems on Windows 10/11. That game was basically a reskin of MoO2 and I still loved it.

I can see this game being the next great Star Trek game for all of us who loved BotF!

The Infinite part refers to the amount of DLCs Paradox will release.
Stellaris is the perfect framework for a Star Trek game. Playing the vanilla game there are countless references and similar situations.

It could be good, just like the great Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds was a professional mod of Age of Empires II. Will certainly keep an eye on its development and I hope it comes to GOG, like its "parent".
I just hope you are prepared for 4 different versions of the game, each one breaking something and completely changing the philosophy of the original design.

You know, normally I wouldn't buy all of Paradox's DLCs...normally only the ones I REALLY want, but this...this is Star Trek.

They'll get me right in the sucker gut for this. With a Star Trek game...I'll probably buy all the DLC's they put out for it...and beg for more. (Haven't covered 8472 yet...well...let's beg them. Later...they haven't put the Tamarians in yet...well...more begging...and on and on it will go).
I love Trek, but unfortunately 4X games have never been my thing.Way too much micromanagmenet, way too many systems, it's like playing an Excel spreadsheet. Also, they tend to favor a sandbox approach instead of a good story, when a good story is the whole point of Star Trek.
what I hope for is a DLC announcment at time of release that for X amount ($20 might be good), you get all 4 races in Stellaris. Otherwise, I am 100% sure SOMEONE is gonna rip the assets out of the game and import to Stellaris because it's the same engine with a slightly different UI. The DLC could be phrased as volume 1 and have volume 2 contain the Borg and Dominion for maybe $10.
Boldly going where no DLC has gone before...

If it's just a reskin, why bother when you could make a mod yourslef?

Ooof, these guys did some work! This looks so nice! o.O
Also, the project appears super active; Steam Workshop lists 660 updates.

I really hope that there won't be a conflict of interests once Paradox starts actively marketing (and selling) their own product? Is there any history/ precedence on how this company deals with competition? :-/
Big Trek fan so wish I enjoyed this types of games, but sadly I do not.
When browsing available civilizations on the wiki page, I found no Vulcans. Taking into account heir role in the Trek universe, it is hard to imagine Civilizations type game - set in this universe - without them. I am wondering how many things have been already planned for DLCs.

Wouldn't Vulcans just be part of the Fedaration?
