Hello everybody, just found this website for first time after research marketplace to find where I can sell our games we developer on.

Would like to know more about GOG before I submit my game to GOG.

If you scroll down a bit you see "Submit your Game"

yes I did, which is why I join GOG, would like to know more.
If you want to know more, you are certainly not in the correct place here on the forum. This is where the gog customers hang out with just a visit from the gog staff sometimes ;-)

You should probably write them an email. If you go here:
https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us

If you scroll down a bit, you'll find "Get in touch with our business side". There are two options, one for emailing them and one for submitting your game. So just write them and hopefully they can help you out.

Okay... perhaps you would like to tell us what you would like to know then? If it's related to submitting your game, contacting GOG is probably all we can offer. :)
Thank moonshineshadow, where best place to discuss about Games Dev to Games Dev?

BKGaming, I would like to read another Games Dev story, their experience and what to look out when selling their first game and what learned from selling their second game and going on.

Because I am new to Games marketing, yet to sell our first game until saw GOG that they welcome first game if its good enough. which is good enough for me.

There is no place here for that. You could try contacting some of the devs that have games here through their own channels (company site etc).

Haha good job I think your typo.

Bah. Reach out to Games Dev is really hard to reach! I guess contact GOG staff is my best shot. gulp have to follow my gut.
Maybe reading some of these will help you.

Hey! Thanks for your interest in GOG.

If there's anything you need to know, ask away. Alternatively, have a look around the site, check out some of the games we release, and if you think your game might fit in, submit it via the link here: https://www.gog.com/indie.

I can supply you with more about GOG.

- GOG doesn't really want DRM in their games.
- GOG likes regional pricing.
- GOG is slow with updating, so if you are slow too, that's fine.
- GOG likes to judge on the games you developer on and they may reject them. You should know before submission.
- GOG has something like the Steam API/client, only they call it differently. You can support it in your game.

I hope this was helpful. If you want to know anything more specific, I will be happy to answer it or pass it on to the real GOG.

... yet. ;-)
Definitely reach out to GOG. Just be warned that a lot of games don't get accepted here. It's still worth trying though - no harm if you don't get through, but awesome if you do.

You might consider also putting your game on itch.io. It's easier to get your game on there than onto Steam or GOG.
