So I don't know if anyone noticed (I hope this isn't a repeat thread!) but there's a new mechanism to download your GoG games! MUCH cleaner, and if you're like me and don't want to D/L Galaxy installers it's now MUCH clearer / easier.

When you click on a game on your game shelf, the UI expands to show both a large blue button you can click to download the Galaxy installer, and just below that is another area you can click which proceeds to expand to the offline installers.

MUCH nicer, will certainly result im me not starting the wrong D/L for the 87th time and is very appreciated. Also if you "click away" from the offline installers, it's now much quicker to get back to them than it was before.

Thanks GOG!

Yes, it is quite simple, only posted as I am shocked, something has actually finally improved rather than "improved"tm, even if they did break it in the first place.

Not a News post, so it's easy to miss.
Much better, thanks! Baffles me that it wasn't done like this from the start, but better late than never. :)
got downloader links still work tho right? (for us old school people with slow internet connections)
Yep, as others said it was in a non-News post, but you put it much more concisely, Ixamyakxim. GOG should have had you promote it. :-D

(I liked elcook's statement, too. It was understandable, and perhaps necessarily elaborate being an official semi-announcement.)

Yep. I used it to DL all five games I've bought from the sale so far.

I think so - it's not added to the front page, but I DID see Downloader Links on the "drop down" menu that has all the "Other" stuff (serials, forum, gamepage etc).

LOL - I DID almost apply to the Community Specialist position last year (or was that two years ago?). Was all gun-ho to move to Poland, had a nice resume and PDF all set to go... but I wussed out ;)
