tort1234: TOTAL FACEPALM

Witcher 3 ended on such a good note.

Why does CD PROJECT RED have to milk the franchise like greedy, shameless American game developers?

They will definitely mess it up with the main character being woke, half-black, non-binary, gender fluid, Trump hating strong independent woman.
They seems to follow the lore of the books, unless we don't play a witcher, the main character can be none of these

Gersen: Well they released each Witcher with a four years gap between each of them, so releasing them with a three years gap doesn't seem so unrealistic, especially if they uses an existing mature engine instead of creating their own from scratch like they did for Witcher 2.
Assuming the engine was the only issue for the long development, or assuming that they won't run into new issues, or assuming that game development has not become much more complex as years have gone by. Realistically, the only way I can see them releasing a large-scale title like Witcher 3 within 3 years, is if they treat the sequels like glorified expansions (perhaps using the same worldmap and other assets).

Swedrami: (which if I remember correctly also has left traces in the database?)

WinterSnowfall: Not something I ever stumbled upon for sure, though SCPM may have sniffed something... can't recall.

There's still an odd entry called "Alibaba" though, which remains a mystery.
I misremembered things, and it was just "Sirius" you guys found traces of ("Canis Majoris" is its so-called Bayer designation).
Funny that "Canis Majoris" is actually its own thing now too. As if I willed it into existence with my speculation, Schopenhauer-style.

As far as "Alibaba" is concerned - let's hope it's got nothing to do with the Chinese Amazon-equivalent.
Repeatedly incantating "Open Sesame" over the entry doesn't work nor reveal anything more either, I assume?
Will any of these be DRM-free, or will they be DRM, since CDPR loves DRM now with its last two main releases (GWENT, CP2077). "Multiplayer" sounds like a sure miss.

Perhaps the two projects are also more related than CDPR lets on...

"Alibaba" is what I found at the very bottom of the cave. The pit goes no further unfortunately.

Interested but hope we leave Geralt. Love the character but his story is done so focusing on another character would be interesting like Ciri, Vesemir, or some new OG Witcher character. Also focus on a new time period because Witcher after 3 seems to be transitioning to a world where monsters are less prevalent.
Looking like CDPR have either turned quality into quantity, or simply announced more, than they could actually deliver. :P

I'm pretty sure, their plans will change. Let's hope, at least some of these games will be worth playing.)
Let's hope they're gonna be Sirius about all this.

I honestly don't know why they would announce this news though. Sure it'd make sense for the new upcoming Cyberpunk 2077's expansion, but for the other three Witcher games, why? Are they trying to create the hype again? One shouldn't be addicted to such thing.

I would like to see Cyberpunk redeeming itself and thriving with expansions released without crazy expectations, deadlines and mismanagement. This IP could be to The Witcher what Starcraft is to Warcraft or WH40K to Warhammer.

As much as I love The Witcher, I'm a bit skeptical there is room for so many different RPGs in the same universe, or they might end up with Assassin's Creed-like fatigue. Time will tell. Maybe some of these won't ever be released.

And new original properties are always exciting and challenging.

Most of peoples play The Witcher games for their story and characters, if they turn like Assassin's creed serie, they will kill The Witcher as it do not fit to a release each year
Cp2077 = full metal JackOff
Witcher = half pr0n half 3rd person sword fighting gronk (alcoholic/junkie) with white hair.
