I checked an Haswell (i5) config too, but the new one for Skylake seems better.
Price is similar, mobos have many new ports, ram is DDR4, consumption seems better.
KingofGnG: I would strongly suggest to wait for the right time to buy the complete package...
[..]The money I spare on that will go for a fucktastic monitor (2K, 144/165Hz, G-Sync) by Asus.... Eh, I really need a new pc, though.
The GPU prices are annoying, but the 980 seems the only good one for future proofing.
I won't abandon 1080p for quite a while, 2K is too demanding.
