Nobody asked for this.
Kinda conflicted about this. I mean sure its prolly goin to be nice and all that but id prefer a fixed IWD2 over this.

I did love me some NWN1 back in the day tho.

Make a few enhancements and then charge $30 for it...
Welp, glad I have the original in my library ... not that I ever got around to finishing it.

My rogue absolutely could *not* get past those dragons.

Just sucks that the original will probably be removed and bundled.

damn a) not happy that original which is perfect anyway even for todays graphics will be removed
b) expecting a ton of bugs that will take years to fix
c) this might bring nwn1 finally to steam
Hmm... The latest NVIDIA GeForce drivers caused some very severe texture issues with Neverwinter Nights.

Now, an announcement comes of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition, with support for the latest operating systems and graphics cards.

This should be fun. **heads off to the kitchen to make popcorn**

Exactly. Beamdog seems to be nothing more than a bunch of talentless hacks who have to rely on feeding off other people's work.
*Facedesk* The hatred will flow, and the rivers will run red with strawberry jam.

What kind of issues? Affecting all Geforce chipsets and all Windows versions (I am on Windows 7)? More info elsewhere?

I just updated the Geforce drivers for my old GTX 670M yesterday evening, thinking "Hmm should I really do this as the current drivers seem to be working ok for me?", but went ahead anyway. At least Dungeon Siege is still running fine for me...

I guess I can revert back to old drivers somehow, if needed, but first I'd like to check if I face similar problems with NWN, as long as I knew what those problems are.

I should get my popcorn ready for the preorder/release thread.
Can''t really see what's so enhanced about this. And though I don't know about win 10, the originals run fine on my win 7 system.

^ That's precisely what it's all about. The "enhancement" is the excuse. The actual goal is tripling / quadrupling the price of +15 year old games with the barest of gimmicks to justify it... What's sad is that NWN doesn't need much enhancing. It supports wide-screen / UHD out of the box, never had fps caps, has an active modding community, etc. Unlike Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, NWN is 80% about the mods and only 20% the Original Campaign, so pulling another "Siege of Dragonsphere" is pretty much dead in the water.

In fact it even has some better environmental textures than some 9 year newer games:-

DA2 (2011) : https://i.ytimg.com/vi/NRQzl5u5oeQ/maxresdefault.jpg

Anyone who doesn't already own the game should seriously learn their lessons from BG 1&2 and pick it up now before the 200% "enhancing" price inflation kicks in...
