One of the main selling points will probably not be available here: steamworks support.
I doubt doubling the price is justified in any case.
Thanks for the reminder. I will back-up up my nwn folder, especially The Bonus & The Soundtrack. What is telling from the Steam page, the expansion and the Soundtrack are to be purchased separately if you don't have the premium edition.

Add: Also I will express my gratitude to GOG.com, as this game giveaway was one that encourage me to made an account here.

Linko90: This Thursday (October 11th) will see the release of Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition. This means we will no longer be selling the original Neverwinter Nights Diamond. Neverwinter Nights Diamond will be included in the Enhanced Edition as a bonus.
I wish you good luck on the release thread.

Oh right, taking this into account the price will roughly triple.

pen2x: will this game have achievements?
They didn't deliver on the promise of adding achievements to the EEs of Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc. So it's rather unlikely.

They also didn't add NWN EE achievements to steam version, probably due to all mods you need to install.

Linko90: ...
Can you give us any infos on Mark of the Ninja Remastered? Is that something that's on the radar for the near future? Any confirmation one way or the other would be highly appreciated.

Note that the expansions that are sold separately there are not the expansions included in the Diamond Edition, those are also included in the basic NWN EE. Three of the four expansions that you have to pay extra for are expansions that originally had DRM on them, never made an appearance on GOG and weren't available for sale anymore for a long time. Some will say they were officially free for download later on, but that's not really true; they were the same as abandonware, not legally free, just abandoned and noone cared anymore. Darkness over Daggerford, on the other hand, has always been legally free. It was initially planned as Premium Module, but then Bioware/Atari decided against releasing it, so the people who created it put it on the community vault for free. Apparantly the original creators have now reworked it to sell it commercially.

I'm not a fan of the EE and its pricing models myself, I just meant to post this info in order to avoid confusion.

For those that wish to own Neverwinter Nights Diamond without purchasing the Enhanced version, we invite you to purchase the game before it’s delisted and replaced by the Enhanced version on October 11th.

Does this mean owners of the original are getting the EE? Or do I have to buy that. The language "replace" is why I am asking. Thanks.

Oh yes, sorry! I meant the DLC, not the also included Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark, Kingmaker, ShadowGuard and Witch’s Wake.

As I understand it, the "replace" is referring to the storefront, not your library. If you want the EE version, you'll have to buy it.
So how much more will this "enhancement" cost?

It's usually triple the base price once you account for the missing soundtrack. However, once you factor in lower sales discounts (because NWN:EE is clearly a "brand new" 2018 game), then NWN:EE -50% discount ends up more like 5x the price of NWN:DE -80% discount during a sale...

That's why I'm asking. The language is unclear.
