I recently bought the NWN2 combonation package. I am wondering if anyone else has an issue with changing the screen resolution. Every time I go into options to change the resolution the screen goes black and stays that way. I am trying to change the resolution because about 1/4" to 1/2" is cut off on both sides of the screen.

Thanks for your time.

I suggest you search the nwn subforum for answers, or repost your question there. I don't use Windows, so I can't really help, although I will say that you could try editing nwn2.ini and setting WIdth and Height under [Displahy Options] manually.

I CAN NEVER SEE MY WHOLE SCREEN!
Need help with the additional hotbars. I can go into the interface tab and check the boxes so they appear on screen but dragging skills, spells or potions to the slots does nothing. They just stay empty. Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it?
Anyone have a list of mods they use in their override folder?
Currently I have this but there are still some bugs
random loot generator
companion multiclass
companion and monster AI 2.2 (though i tried v2.5 and game crashed)
kaedrin's PrC 1.41.1 (even though it says 1.42, its modified by the 'merge' package)
Kaedrin + SFI + TCC merge pack
PIA - personal impossiblity adjustment (there is a new version but more complicated than I need to use)

I'm missing a level modifier to raise level beyond campaign caps
and missing spell fixes and other fixes like the SR bug, Warlock bug, and uncanny dodge bug

I tried some mods but they are incompatible.
Curious to know what others have and seems to work together

Sounds like quite the problem. You need to wear a catnip hat. I'm sure the problem will evolve...
Hello there, I'm playing with my wife and we encountered a game breaking bug. After the back alley/warehouse quest Moire isn't at Axl's so we can't continue the OC. She's nowhere to be found and we double and tripple checked if we got all the city guards in the warehouse. Please help, this is very frustrating. is there a console command to spawn here or something? Axl is supposed to give us the old owl quest, but he just keeps saying "go talk to moire" who isn't where she's supposed to be.
For whatever reason, Qara has begun to use Sleep after 12 hours of playing and having her in my party. It's started crashing my game after she uses the spell and puts enemies to sleep. It's not immediate, it's always after the enemies fall asleep. Has anyone had this kind of issue?

It's a very old bug. May have already found the solution by now. Easiest way to fix was load a save game before choosing your faction and picking the guards instead. Second was downloading a mod that fixed Moire's spawn, if it still can be found. Third was enabling dm and teleporting to a map that had Moire then teleporting back out. Fourth and i'm not sure of it was to either use the console or editing the save game to change a variable that could be found by manually editing the campaign files and fix/skip that part.

Unmodded, not me personally. Modded, yes. Usually a conflict. If you use '.override' mods, those are archives that contain multiple files. When two mods clash, only the first unique file is considered, so if you have one mod that has 'spells.2da' and a second mod that has 'spells.2da' and 'spelleffects.2da', the game will use 'spells.2da' from the first mod and 'spelleffects.2da' from the second mod which creates inconsistencies and errors in the game.

However, if this happens only with Qara, on her character panel, go to the AI/behaviour tab and disable everything.

If it happens regardless of who casts it, resetting graphical settings might work. Also, making sure none of the game files and folders are 'read-only', main game and Documents, should help. And if you use the console often, make sure dm or other persistent states aren't turned on because they can cause serious corruption when saved like that and then loaded.

Oh almost forgot, under no circumstance should you ever trust Autosave in this game. Autosave will almost always corrupt itself, so save manually when you end a session. Twice if you want to make sure.

Hello everybody! I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Me and 3 friends of mine like playing co-op online games. We are seriously considering buying this game to play together online co-op on its campaign. 2 of these friends of mine (twin brothers) played it in the distant past offline and found it very good, despite not having good understanding of the D&D 3.5e mechanics used in the game. We are also into the D&D 3.5e during the recent years, so this game is the closest we can get to it, with its large variety of base and prestige classes. Not to mention it has low requirements so the laptop of one of my friends will be able to handle it.

Before buying the game, I need some help from you in the form of info. What I really need to know are the following:

1) Is the co-op campaign online (not LAN) possible nowadays? If yes, does it require a special method other than just selecting it from the in-game menu? Has anyone made it work as of this time of writing?

2) If online co-op campaign is indeed possible, what characters do players control? Does the host control the main character and the other players use the standard party members or can all 4 of us make different custom characters and join the adventure?

Thank you all in advance and I look forward to your responses! Any further info will surely be appreciated!

I can't talk much about NWN2 co-op but I do know Divinity Original Sin 2 handles it very well.

I would repost this in the Neverwinter Nights series forum (as its own post). That forum's pretty active, so you may be more likely to get a knowledgeable response, and it will certainly be less likely to get buried there.

Also, reviving years-old threads to post your own questions (especially if those questions are only slightly related to the original, as is the case here) tends to be more likely to confuse or annoy other forumgoers than to help you. :)

By coincidence, we are already playing co-op on the Divinity Original Sin 2 campaign and we are about to finish it.

Thanks for the recommendation anyway!

Thank you for the advice. I will go and start a new thread there or find a relative one. I just had trouble navigating through the GOG forums.

As for years-old thread, I noticed that there is a tendency of people to post things here every few months, with the previous post on June 2022 (little more than half a year ago). That's why I chose to post it here.

Once again, thanks for guiding me!
