So I installed Neverwinter Nights, but for some reason the intros to the logos like "Bioware" and "Wizards of the Coast" and the first cinematic are all, for lack of a better term: Lagging.

Like they just keep stopping and resuming for some reason. The game itself works fine though.

Any advice on how to fix this?

Find the file nwn.ini - the file it's in the Neverwinter Nights installation folder - look for Display Options and change SafeMovie=0 to SafeMovie=1

OK where do I find the nwn.ini?

Do I go to Local Disc>GOG Games> Neverwinter Nights?

Because I checked it and nothing that says "nwn.ini"

I checked the subforum and well they made suggestions that I do not know which to pick. And I do not have the patiences of waiting because sub-forum replies are slower than a game of Golf.

In that case, don't try the above link, seems to be for ATI cards only.

Try this:
Download and install VLC media player.
Open game folder, open "movies" folder. See if you can play any of the files using VLC media player. If not, you could be missing codecs.

(to prevent spoilers, try BiowareLogo.bik and not ending.bik. Obviously.)

If i remeber correctly the file should be there but it's been a while. Check your WIndows folder options to see if you have the option to hide some files and folders enabled.

So I have to watch the cinematics seperately from the game by running them on this media player?

Also I tried the suggestion of changing SafeMovies=0 to SafeMovies=1 and nothing its still the same problem,

No, but it would narrow things down. If they are choppy as well in the media player it means you have to get the codec. If they play properly in the media player, we'll have to look for another solution.

Win7... probably didnt change the file permissions...

In addition to the above. If you installed in the default Program Files folder, then you might want to look and edit the nwn.ini in your user folder instead. Or reinstall outside Program Files.

Yes.

Now the cinematics are inconsistant.

1 time launching the game it is painfully slow and the other time the cinematics for the company logos were working fine but the cinmatic for the Game (Showing the Warrior fighting the Minotaur) lags very late in the showing.

Its not in the Program Files folder its in the GOGGames Folder.

I go to:

Local Disc (C:) > GOGGames > Neverwinter Nights Diamond.

I also went to properties and set compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 3.
