With practically zero info, I'm not sure anyone will be of much help :)

Let's start then by describing us the equipment you're using, is it yours or provider alloted one for you? Have they given you a modem or a router? Are you trying to connect your existing router to it?

In any case, first step would be to read the manual that should've been given to you by your provider. If not, check their website for one.
Hmmm, NES is out.

It was just made known to me that might be taken the wrong way. :P I meant, if he needs someone honest then the 1st person we can cross off is NES. I assure everyone I meant nothing else. :D

I'm sure a router could help get open up an NES...

EDIT: And if NES was more open, maybe we could trust him.

Now I'm really confused. A MAC address is a hardware based ID that network equipment has. It's locked into the hardware, it cannot be "set". Chrome is a browser, and as such has no awareness of any kind of MAC address.

What exactly is it you are trying to do?
Asking strangers on the internet to remote into your PC is a very bad idea. I can't really decipher what the actual problem is from what is posted here.

I would suggest you contact the support for either your router or your ISP.

Ah, that's the problem. You don't enter its MAC but IP adddress into the web browser. Look at the bottom of your router for the exact IP address and default login credentials.

Is it possible you are confusing the MAC address with the IP address? If I understand you correctly, what you are trying to do is to configure the router settings. That is indeed usually done by entering the router's IP address in a browser, often http://192.168.0.1, after which the router should ask for a login and password.

Asking a complete stranger on a forum to gain access to such sensitive personal data is asking for trouble.

Just follow what and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/need_someone_honest_mate_to_set_my_router/post10]v3 said, and you should gain access to your router's menu and settings.
