Will since I also just stumbled into this genre a couple of days ago, and lstened to quite some stuff, I might be able to give you some hints.
The God of synthwave is definitely the one and only

The Uncanny Valley will be released next week, I think.
And, of course, if you want 80s synth stuff, you can never go wrong with the man who basically invented it:
John Carpenter. He released a studio album called
<span class="bold">Lost Themes</span>, and it's absolutely amazing. Probably one of the best albums that were released last year, and the one that got me into that kind of music.
A few weeks ago he released a sequel,
<span class="bold">Lost Themes II</span> Two other great albums are
<span class="bold">Behemoth by GosT</span> and
<span class="bold">Trilogy by Carpenter Brut</span> Honorable mentions: Dan Terminus, Lazerhawk and Meteor
