Not sure if this is allowed so please chop the thread if not.

I've started rebuilding all of my old Amiga favourites and have been trying to remember a game that I was always desperate to try but never got around to buying. All I can really remember was that it was set in something like a Hollywood film studio. Not sure if it was an adventure, RPG or what.

Sorry, I know it's a bit vague but it's been driving me mad for years. Thanks in advance for any suggestions :-)

Seymour Goes to Hollywood/Seymour at the Movies? Hollywood Hijinx?
Personally I've no idea (Amiga was before my time :-), but googling brought up this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1370378/
Seems to have been a German economics sim about film production...originally created for Amiga in 1995.
I you don't get the answer here you might try www.reddit.com/r/tipofmyjoystick as they are quite adept at guessing obscure old games with almost no details provided.

Anyway, my guess is The Movies?

Random YouTube clip from that game: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6jdO8Jf2MTU

No sorry, thanks for that but having had a look at them it was a later (maybe early to mid 90's) game in a sort of cartoon style. The advertisement that the computer magazines carried at the time showed what I guess would be a director 'shouting through his megaphone at the stage and the rear of the director's chair in the foreground.

Thank you so much, why didn't I think to search for something as obvious. Even looking at the link it brings back memories. Now to find it and download it....

Sweet, I was glad to help.

Don't think it's for sale anywhere digitally. They pulled it from steam at some point in the past. More info on that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/patientgamers/comments/3oges2/is_the_lionhead_studios_game_the_movies_available/

Anyway, happy New Years !

Press the huge "FIND A GAME" button in the top right of the subreddit. It's just a different css style. You can turn it off somewhere on the right if you're using a PC.

WTF, that's a bit "hidden" for me.
It looked like an image for the search bar below.
Anyway, thanks :P
