Hey all, I'm trying to really get into the cyberpunk genre, particularly in gaming, so I'm really trying to find as many games in the genre as I can. Currently, I have:

- All of the Deus Ex games
- All of the Shadowrun games
- Both System Shock games (haven't played either yet)
- Beneath a Steel Sky (haven't played yet)

I also have a couple games that may not be considered cyberpunk but have some of the elements of the genre, such as Watch Dogs (the first one).

That being said, if anyone has suggestions for cyberpunk games, or games that have cyberpunk elements like Watch Dogs, I'd greatly appreciate hearing them. I know there was an article a few weeks ago that talked about this genre and the games within it but I'd really appreciate hearing more suggestions. Also, no one suggest the Blade Runner game recently released on GOG; I know of it and it's one of the ones I plan to get when I can.

Thanks for any suggestions!

PS: When it comes to cyberpunk, my favorite type is the kind that really focuses on the moral and societal issues of a time like that. It's one of the reasons I'm so excited for 2077, given that IP's focus on morality and society.
If you are looking for a visual novel that is kind of cyberpunk have a look on this one...It's not really cyberpunk but it might actually interest you.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions! I've never actually played a visual novel before, mostly because they tend to be anime and I'm not much of a fan of anime, but I'm willing to try one if it seems interesting. The ones you linked definitely do! And as for the other games, I've heard of Observer but not the other one. Nevertheless, I popped all of them onto my wishlist, thanks again!

Oh and yeah, that's the article I saw. :)
Two cyberpunk point-and-click adventure games from Wadget Eye I personally recommend:

Very nice, I've added both to my wishlist. Thanks!

(The other Tex Murphy games are worth a look as well, though they didn't age as well as some other old adventure titles)

(As well as the 'The longest Journey' and 'Dreamfall', although they have less Cyberpunk elements)

(with this being the other one - it may be a little hard to get into but there are few games that can feel as Gibsonesque as this one)
Starcrawlers. Playing through it right now. Very fun and with a good cyberpunk vibe.

I like that game quite a bit.
Judge Dredd VS Death
Metrocide
Binary Domain
Oni

Dex is really good if you don't mind a rushed and poorly written ending to the main storyline. But the side content and the overall atmosphere makes up for it in my opinion.
Unhack and its sequel.

Very nice, I particularly love the colors and lighting of Re-Legion and Satellite Reign! I also love the way Tesla Effect seems to have that old school adventure approach but with modern graphics and gameplay elements. Additionally, Dex REALLY looks like a game I could get into so that may be my next major purchase in the genre. Regardless, I've added all of your suggestions to my wishlist, thanks!

Whoa nice, it kinda gives me Might & Magic vibes in terms of the gameplay! Nice, I've heard of some of those, especially Flashback and Uplink: Hacker Elite. I remember playing the demo of Hacker Elite and the Sega Genesis version of Flashback over and over again when I was younger! Also, I have Syndicate Plus, I forgot to add that to my OP but I'll throw it on there. Thanks for reminding me! The rest of the games are going straight

Yeah, I'm really thinkinga bout getting that one, it looks solid!

Oh nice, for some reason, I didn't think about any Judge Dredd games but I'll definitely keep that in mind! As for Metrocide, that gives me cyberpunk GTA2 vibes haha, I like it!

Stooner: Binary Domain
Oni
Very nice, Binary Domain looks fantastic! As for Oni, I'll definitely vote that up, it kinda gives me Alita vibes and I really enjoyed that movie (haven't read the manga yet, though) so I might enjoy Oni.

Ahh so it's one of those sorts of games that shines because of the side content. That's fine by me, though!

kalirion: Unhack and its sequel.
Hmm Unhack seems to be a pretty interesting idea, I'll pop that on the wishlist too!

Anyways, thanks, everyone, for your suggestions, I now have a good idea of the next games I'll try to buy!
no one mentioned DreamWeb??
also, TRON 2.0, RUINER.

borderline: Mirror's Edge.
