Gnostic: No, the player may get more for individual transaction, but overall Blizzard has the most to gain from the RMAH, just like valve has the most to gain from Steam.
Yrtti: Again, that's an absurd comparison. Of course it's obvious that no single player is able to get more money than Blizzard got in total but the whole point is that they get 85% of the transaction they make which makes them earn more money than Blizzard did from THAT TRANSACTION. I've repeated it several times now.
On top of that, if you want to compare total transactions then you're still going to end up with total transactions in favor of players since they made 85% of each transaction.
Gnostic: It is you that is creating the strawman that Blizzard did RMAH not for greed.
Yrtti: Sorry, but...
Gnostic: Blizzard is never corrupted by greed and we should give all our money to Blizzard.
It is a myth that Blizzard spike the gameplay to nudge players to the RMAH.
Yrtti: These are literally strawmen that have NOTHING to do with the argument I made. My argument was, again, that players got 85% of each transaction making them earn more than Blizzard did from the transaction.
Gnostic: If not for greed, why Blizzard don't make it in-game gold AH only? Why use real money at all?
If not for greed, why Blizzard did a difficulty spike at all? That players have to suffer grinding or pay FTP players suffer?
If not for greed, why Blizzard charge a large amount upfront, and introduce micro transaction?
Yrtti: Because it's a counter-measure for RWT, did you really miss this? I'm not saying it's the best way to do it but it creates a safe way to practise RWT over giving your CC info and stuff to shady 3rd party sites. Again, D2 had tons of RWT going for it along with countless other games simply because people do not want to grind and would just rather buy directly. So even if RMAH didn't exist people would've bought from 3rd party sites instead.
Again, the design was shit in the beginning but it was balanced later on with RMAH still intact and people spending money on it despite not needing it. No D3 player is FTP player since they purchase the game to begin with.
RMAH can only loosely be defined as microtransactions.
Gnostic: But hey, don't let me get in your fanaticism and give more money to Blizzard.
Yrtti: What fanaticism? Why are you making stuff like that up?
Is that really hard to get?
Previously the goverment does not charge extra tax because the traders already pay yearly tax from their profit.
Then the goverment impose extra 15% GST tax on goods so people have to pay extra.
The traders still get 85%, they get the most so everything is fine.
Why complain about the goverment? The whole point is that they get 85% of the transaction they make which makes them earn more money than Goverment did from THAT TRANSACTION.
We are not allow to critize the goverment because the traders GET THE MOST. NO NO NO, the goverment is infailable.
What! these dirty peasant dare to not give the goverment money by trading in goods instead of money. Lets send in patrols to make it more difficult to trade in goods.
How can you complain about the goverment, if you compare the total trades, 85% of the total trades still go to the people. I repeat it several times, the people still earn more than the goverment since they got 85% of the transaction. How dare you protest.
No No No, you are missing the point, all that matters is the people gain the most out of the GST TAX. The people get 85%. so they get the most out of the tax. How cannot you see this. As long as the people get more than the Goverment out of the transection, all is fine.
How dare you use mathematics to show that the Goverment gain much much more than the individual, your mathematics is wrong. You should comapre of all the people gain versus the single Goverment. You cannot compare a single people against a single Goverment. You must compare all the people gain against a single Goverment. There, all the people gain 85% vs the 15% of the Goverment. THERE IS NO PROBLEM.
How dare you peasant complain, our tax enforcer is there to protect the dumb peasant from giving their CC info and stuff to shady 3rd party sites. It is for your own good. Without our tax enforcer these dumb peasants would trade anyway.Nevermind that they get 100% from their trade instead of 85% now and can buy / sell cheaper.
What! I am a fanatic of the Goverment? Why are you making stuff like that up?
