tinyE: Are they watching that Space movie with Jeb Brown? XD I can't exactly remember any of the names they throw out.
avatar
haydenaurion: Not yet, I tuned in late so I don't know if they've gotten to it yet.
You know which one I'm talking about right? The name of the movie escapes me. It's during that movie that they keep making up names for action stars. :P

Easily one of the best they ever did, along with the likes of Mitchell, Final Sacrifice, and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank.

I'm still just stunned though. How is it that they (the studio who made the original movie) were able to use BSG footage for their space shots? Did they pay Universal, or did they just steal the footage and hoped they wouldn't get sued in their home country? They even still call their fighters "Vipers", ffs.

Joel presents: TV's Son of TV's Frank

This should provide a good boost in pledges.
Leaked 'Star Wars' Auditions With The Bots From MST3K

And also: Joel asks us if we're ready for some FOOTBALL? :-)
4 minutes till movie sign
MST3K Double Feature will start soon.
WATCH OUT FOR SNAKES

Good advice in the 70s, and the 90s, and still holds true today.
Watched a couple of clips of the new cast. Not impressed. The bots' voices suck, and the new host is a neckbeard hipster (but what's new).

I know they're going with canon by not having Joel or Mike come back, but these new replacements just can't hold the saddle bags of the old show. Worst of all, what I saw just wasn't funny. They're trying too goddamn hard, and when anyone tries too hard to be funny, it's usually because they're not.

Is it just an internet broadcast?

I guess. If it gets enough attention and money from the kickstarter then Netflixx or Amazon or somebody will probably pick it up.
I think it's really too early to call... I'm willing to give the new cast the benefit of the doubt. Have a little faith! Leave it to JOEL.

Also, did anyone watch the live telethon? It was seriously funny, albeit unintentionally (technical problems up the wazoo). Dana Gould and Patton Oswalt totally killed it, though. (Oswalt responding to Twitter messages was priceless.)

Anyway, funding was succesful and we even reached the last-minute stretch goal of fourteen episodes (including a holiday special).
