.... Oh my god, pirate legos are still a thing!? I want some too!
My wife proclaimed that she prefers Star Trek to Star Wars today, which left me with a strange feeling of pride. I'm not a dad tho, so it could not have been a gift.

Shes a keeper. My first lego set was also a pirate one back in the early nineties.
Also here is a good test on any prospective spouse.:
Ask your wife/girlfriend what they would do if you died.
If she says that she would go find the 7 Dragon Balls then marry her.

Its not "legos"! That's not how you say it!!! Lego is the brand name! You can say "Lego bricks", but not "Legos"!! Lego is plural! You can say "a pile of Lego"!
:)
But congratulations on getting Lego. Nobody buys it for me anymore. They think I have too much. I only have ~5000 bricks…

Dad might have a huge plastic (trash) bag of bricks, most of which mine but got "inherited" by my brother and then my youngest sister, but it's possible they have gotten rid of it (whenever I mention to my dad that I would like to have it, he sounds rather disgusted that I'm stuck to the past and tells me I need to move on to adult things (like what? doing taxes for fun? no, thank you, I have a job and my own place, isn't that enough?), and doesn't tell me where it is).
