Hades™: I had plans, like everyone else.... games are a important thing for me, in many situations it kept me going... I don't know if I'll be arround when some of the games I want will be released or if I will have the power to buy them, games like Cyberpunk 2077.

Sometimes I can't even concetrate to play something. I know this has nothing to do with gog, as the tittle says these are just some thoughts I had to share.

GameRager: Eh, I think some are overstating it/overreacting to it, and some aren't taking it seriously enough.

rtcvb32: From what i see. The situation is way overblown. It's not nearly as bad as they are making it out to be.

rtcvb32: Worse, if a shutdown lasts for very long, the economy will collapse, there will be no food/resources, and a large portion of the population in theory could starve (though it's possible canibalism and eating pets/animals may work for a time).

GameRager: Not so much the cannibalism, but this is what I worry about in part: That people could lose jobs/get desperate/etc due to the shutdowns.

Imo we should just isolate/issue the orders being given now to all in many areas just to the ones most affected by this, and(after another 2-3 weeks or so) let everyone else go back to their lives.

rtcvb32: It's less that we could starve to death in the 2-6 weeks required to quarantine (or whatever length would be best). Years ago people had less than $400 to spend on emergencies and living paycheck to paycheck. People very quickly won't be able to pay their rent, much less food.

rtcvb32: The economy also may not come back online again easily, small and medium sized businesses may have to close permanently, leaving possibly only large corporations left behind, which would leave a very unhealthy monopoly in it's place.

rtcvb32: Some have called this a 'Socialism Trial', mandated on who can stay open who can't, who can work and who can't, and honestly this is hitting everyone harder than the 2008 and the 1920's stock market crash.
