I tried to buy a game to gave away. For like a Christmas give away thing. One game I wanted had other games from the catalog included with it. I already own the games that come with it, so apparently I can only gift it. Well fine .. Just let me gift it. Nope .. I have to wait 3 Months to be able to gift via my credit card .. Hmm? I've already spent well over $10.00 via my credit card already, so why can't I gift a game with my credit card? Yes, I cleared my cache and tried different browser. Now logged in with IE instead of FFox. Same deal. Now I have 3 games ticking down in my account. Two of which are the same game.

Why I won't use Paypal .. Is making money off the exchange rate. I was using PayPal for this, but I changed when I noticed PayPal was charging more and making extra money off buyers via the exchange rate. The Canadian dollar has been falling of late. It is down to 71 cents US. 0.71859 .. to be exact. The PayPal rate was something like 0.697269. Not a whole lot, but it still isn't right.

I don't have a problem with GOG's security. The waiting is going to be a pain in the butt though.

Which games are you trying to buy as gifts? Not all games on GOG can be gifted.

Hmm? ... They were all from the sale / Bethesda catalog. Mostly Quake games, like Quake 3 Gold.

Hm, alright. No idea if they are banned from being gifted and I didn't seem to have any problem with checking out while being in gift mode. Then this might not be the problem.

K .. It is odd, because 3 days ago it worked. I was just in my account looking at past purchases and I noticed that I had made a purchase during the "way back winter sale" .. I picked up - Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000 and gifted it to myself with credit card. So that time anyway, it worked. I'm going to contact staff and see what they can tell me.

Yeah, contacting support might be the best alternative at this point :)
