Actually CDPR can show you one big ball (on a small bear) when their GOG pages fail to load.

Somebody who rarely uses mods and want to play the original game i don't see your point. This is a choice if you need mods. There could be also mods not on the workshop then.
But anyway the workshop requirement falls flat.

in my opinion valve's drm on their games is not bad after all because it only needs steam to launch and the good news is that you can activate offline mode on steam
