I remember you did friend me, I went to look at your page, maybe see if we have some games in common, but the page wouldn't load, so I went on with my day. Second friend request I also accepted, then your message presuming I was "judging" you, followed by unfriending so I couldn't respond.

I'm not trying to call you out, I'm not angry, I'm not trying to pick on you, I am just very confused.

I'm unclear if it's a rule involving talking about the issue specifically, or calling them out by username. I don't tend to call anyone out publicly anyway, but hoping if it's the latter then this should be okay?

It's probably someone training an AI.

I don't know if whomever I want to talk about knows who they are, or even if they know what I'm about to talk about, but that won't stop me from talking about it, so be warned! If you do a search on their name in the forum, you will come up with a few posts they have made, as well as several replies to them by others. Some of them don't read like a BOT, at least to me.

I too have been recently approached by this user to be a friend, and communicated with them in Chat, but not yet got a reply. I've suggested they make at least some of their Profile visible, or share half a dozen threads that they have been involved in so that I can gauge what they are like.

Stranger danger works just as well (even more) on the internet as it does IRL.

If someone you don't know sends you a friend request, on Facebook, on Twitter, on GOG, Mastodon, wherever - ignore it.

Online software is designed to make taking no action at all the safest action.

This applies to random people on the internet (not your friends) and companies alike.

If in doubt, cancel without expressing any preference.

This applies to Windows 10/11 too - if you get a pop up asking you to join OneDrive or the "Customer Satisfaction Experience Program" or whatever, the safest thing to do is click the × button, not any of the "options" given. If there is no × button then Alt-F4 (close window shortcut) often works as well.
